I watched another you tube video that talked about how the split will open up a lot more option trading on SCHD. I believe right now its only done monthly. If this is true I think the price could go way up. I just bought more.

The real cheat code is opening a Roth IRA with robinhood gold and investing in SCHD in the Roth IRA. All of your dividends will grow tax free and snowball. And robinhood has a Roth IRA match of 3% so an free 210 dollars every year if you max it out so in 30 years you will be making that 330k a year completely tax free. Also in the dividend calculator you can put the dividend tax rate to 0% and see how much more money you will have inside your Roth

Why not use an IBKR brokerage account, where you can purchase stocks at a lower price? For example, with VOO, you could buy 0.5 shares for $263 instead of 1 share for $525. Been doing this for about a year now since I'm a student and don't have much money to invest.

Yeeesh that’s a lot of capital for such a little part out. You mentioned you do options, take a look into QDTE, they do the trading for you, weekly payout, applying the same principals on something a lurker more active can streamline that income and not take till you’re 60

Hi Zeek, thanks for sharing! Would you recommend doing this long term investing in SCHD in a normal taxable brokerage account (long term capital gains tax has to be accounted for) or in a Roth IRA (where all the money you have grows tax free)? Would really appreciate your knowledge and insight!

1 million, 1 million invested in SCHD will return a monthly income that's decent.
You can reach that million with DRIP faster, but it still takes time and dedication.
