i feel so much emotion when i hear this track , one of the most beautiful composition of wayne shorter for me .

Zawinul and Shorter compliment each other so well with these duets. Wayne's composition sublimely portrays the pathos and tragedy of Titus's poem. Brilliant!

Ideally following 'Blackthorn Rose'

Not only a great saxophonist, but a genius as a composer too!

Thank you for posting this Ben. I was on a Mr. Wayne Shorter night and came across this.
Like a bird sitting o your shoulder talking directly to you that sound. Joe always a genius too. On a very short list of musicians in history Wayne Shorter is on the shortest list.

One of the great movements in a long time that still is as fresh today as then,

There surely must be a bunch of unreleased Zawinul/Shorter duets sitting around gathering dust somewhere ; I'd buy an album of that in a heartbeat .
