Mastodon should make more tracks like this one. Don't get me wrong I love the heavy, savage,metal sound. But,damn! I like when they make these kind of tracks. Check out "had it all. "

I remember when The Hunter came out I bought it as quickly as I could. Leviathan is one of my favorite albums of all time and I ATE UP Blood Mountain and Crack the Skye. Walking into The Hunter I definitely liked it, but it didnt catch me the way their previous albums did. Over the years since I found myself listening to this less and less, as I felt it was a bit too unfocused (in fairness, Crack the Skye seemed almost impossible to follow up.)

Coming back to this now, God...ten years later, listening to it in its entirety, I have so much more appreciation for it. Maybe its because Im older now, maybe because the future doesnt seem so far away as it once did, but this song is the absolute best way to end this album. One line, infinite meaning. Tomorrow isnt promised and dreams arent guaranteed. Pursue happiness with diligence. Fucking amazing.
