Yes the speed limit is part of the 15 min agenda to restrict movements and make people wanting to giving up their cars. they have put a blanket 20 mile an hour in most cities including London. It feels like driving a milk float and not a car .. so infuriatingly slow. Bus lanes, cycling lanes (that no one uses 🙄) Ulez, congestion charges, restricting access of most roads with plant pots and cameras also known as LTN zones (limited traffic neighbourhoods) which means that huge traffic jams forms on the main roads and arteries with the impossibility to escape. But like you said we are pushing back my Instagram views are up 50% as I expose the agenda as much as I can and people are commenting in support of my efforts. Glad the so called elites are feeling the heat. About time ! Thank you 🙏🏽

For the life of me I can't remember the name of the town but think it was in Norfolk & a group of residents fought off the councils plans for something to do with limiting travel? Sorry to be vague was about 2 yrs ago but they held them off them next local councillor elections residents voted in those that could veto any future plans & as far as I'm aware they were successful.... We don't need 15 minute cities, we just need to return to what we used to have before local government were encouraged to build huge out of town shopping centres full of multi national corporations that don't pay tax.
I grew up in a small Welsh town in the 1960s /70s. Almost everything we needed was within walking distance because we had a thriving community of local independent shops on our high street. Our front room, facing the street was rented out to a pet food store,. We had a bakery on one side of us and a jeweller/ watch repairer on the other side, beyond the bakery, there was an old fashioned pharmacy with a pharmacist who knew enough about his craft to make up his own remedies from the row of apothecary jars on his shelf. Beyond the jewellers there was a green grocers. We had a few butchers, a DIY shop, an ironmongers, a carpet shop, an off licence, a sports shop, all of the usual banks, a post office and newsagent, solicitors and accountants offices, numerous Italian cafes and ice cream shops, as South Wales was full of Italian families, at the time. My father, literally crossed the road to go to work. Everybody could earn a living by providing services to other local people. It was a true circular economy with everyone supporting everyone else.
Walk down any high street now and they're nothing short of squalid. There are boarded up shops everywhere, charity shops, tattoo parlours, vape shops, etc. Nothing looks clean or inviting.
The 60s was not an ideal society by a long way, but if we can take from it what was good and build on that, we could live in true communities once again.

Together we are such a force to be reckoned with. If you think about it - 20 mph creates pollution, slowing traffic and causing congestion in exactly the areas they say they are trying to reduce it. Thank goodness we are waking up to this BS......

This policy is much misunderstood. It goes back to a time when everyone worked and shopped locally within a few miles of where they lived. The butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker were all in the row of shops in the high street. Its the opposite of travelling out of town to a great shopping mall to get your groceries. You should be able to walk no more than 15 minutes to buy a loaf of bread, a bottle of milk, a bag of sugar as standard.
