I'm with you on the GTI thing. Absolutely most boring car to look at, to drive and to own. Owners tend to be high school drop outs. I've had more fun in a tesla base model 3.. BY FAR. GTI owners have never drove anything else I swear 😂 I test drove a FL5, SI, GTI, golf r, GR Corolla, Kona N, Elantra N and Miata and felt nothing but sleepy driving the GTI. Which is crazy cause the golf r has to be one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. Very big difference in cars. Golf R is still utterly boring to look at but wow is the GTI dogshi 😂

I bought a gti because its the best bang for buck car that can do it all bro. 20k for a car that i can mod and tune pretty easily. Has 4 doors, can fit just about anything i need. Gets 35-40mpg Takes me to work and back every day without missing a beat and can rip some canyons on the weekend. And its more reliable than a subaru

I think doing random stuff to normal grocery getters is funny af, I personally have done it before but didn’t go too balls to the walls, got my hands on a 6speed manual 2021 corolla XSE, started with ceramic tint and removing the rear XSE and corolla badge, did a 2JR driver side single exit Greddy catback, 2JR highflow race spec cat, RSR superdowns, and a GR Corolla short throw shifter, wanted the car to seem OEM+ in a way, it was fun however had a car I’ve always been interested in come along and got it for 29k out the door, now I have a GR85 premium and it’s pretty fun, I have plans for this car but man I miss the corolla it had such a great exhaust tone (with the exhaust I had chosen there were also resonators I wanted it to sound similar to a Subaru and the result was a similar deep tone just not as much rumble) too bad I’m broke again and can’t afford to do anything to the 86 rn
