ОтветитьI spent 4 years trying to get a woodworking business off the ground... even made minimalist wooden wallets! (you know about those, Dan!)
Be the age of 28 I had over 30 jobs. Many of the jobs were "OK", and treated me fine, but doing meaningless work with chronic back pain was a recipe for constant despair.
Now I'm building a web design agency & a personal brand, & running creative transformation coaching.
Continuing to make wood art purely for fun. I have almost healed my back pain with somatic therapy. (My somatic coach will be on my new podcast next week!!)
Without the clarity that Dan has articulated, I don't think I'd have the conviction to be so devoted to this path forward. I'd probably still be making cabinets for "the man".
My brand is still small, but I feel so much joy and peace knowing that I'm building my own way to live instead of enslaving my poor spine to serve someone else's dream.
6 months ago I had no clue I'd have an actual tribe of people forming around me who are grateful for the personal impact I'm having on them, just by being radically authentic and learning how to deeply focus on my creative work.
Bro. Thank you.
I suffered huge losses trading as a beginner. I thought I could trade on my own, but my small investments keep declining. Do you have any tips or recommendations?

ОтветитьDeveloping a personal brand is very much a process I guess. Especially when the diverse interests one has do not seemlessly combine to create a distinctive brand.

Thank you Dan!
ОтветитьChannels like this are gold.
ОтветитьI was honestly so shocked hearing the start of your video because my story is really similar to yours. I never wanted to get a job. I tried a lot of things over the past six years but failed, and honestly, those failures turned out to be the best things that happened to me. Right now, I’m done with college and really don’t want to start university or get a job. I want to create my own thing. I’m not sure what will work out, but I’m hopeful something will.
Lately, I’ve been really into personal branding and AI, and I’m working on starting something around that. I hope this will be the thing that clicks. Not wanting to get a job and be like most people is what’s pushing me to start this new journey.
This hit different. Not just 'how to go viral' but how to build trust, connection, and long-term growth. The part about people not following ideas but the person behind them? That flipped a switch for me.
ОтветитьThank you. 🌹
ОтветитьI don't want to build a personal brand
ОтветитьThank you Dan.
ОтветитьI started building momentum on my end by just posting my book notes live. When a passage of a book jumps out at me, I just turn it into tweet and post it. It doesn't really matter how good the posts are, just that you're posting. Only when you're already doing the thing is when you can start making improvements.
ОтветитьOk now let’s go play league of legends 😂. But Foreals though great video. I honestly needed this today
Ответить... excellent advice ! .... thank you.
Ответить"YOU DON´T QUIT, YOU PIVOTE" gracias totales por el insight! Hace 4 meses comencé con el marketing digital y descubrí y continúo descubriendo con vos lo maravilloso del branding emocional, branding con sentido <3 Un fuerte abrazo desde Santa Fe, provincia de Argentina
ОтветитьThis is for me.
ОтветитьLight is way too bright here Dan, turn it down
ОтветитьThank you so much ❤ Your work is wonderful 😍

ОтветитьI’m glad I don’t need adderall to grind out 6+ hours on a computer & stoked that my mom ignored the doctors advice & refused to put me on any hyperactive meds 🙏🏽
ОтветитьDan posts video. I watch video.
ОтветитьGetting a job is not evil, its a necessary step if you want to build for yourself and even staying in it for 40 years, it's not a failure. Maybe life has better plans for us in other areas that our brain can't even conceive right now. I strongly believe there are no failures in life and even if someone wants to leave a job and don't do it for x, y reasons they are exactly on the path they are meant to be
ОтветитьI enjoy your videos man
ОтветитьThis your story i can really relate to it
ОтветитьYep, freelancing ends like being a low-paid contractor that is constantly looking for a job. I hated freelancing - it's not a business; it's a bad job.
Ответитьdan this video is awesome, but I do think you can show it little better in a way that shares this perspective better. like you do on your Insta. creating those animations, those are so good that I think if you added those in the video to share something. that will impact much more on the viewers.
please try to include that, give your editor a little more work, he's in comfort zone.
Victor Maitland dropping absolute knowledge once again.
ОтветитьWatched video until saw this prompt, went to kortex and voila - I CAN T COPY PASTE YOUR F-ING SUPER CLEVER PROMPT ON MY SMARTPHONE

Ответитьso true, a decade passed by and that's where I'm now, a desk job that's way too comfortable to move on but would get me nowhere till I retire.
wish me luck for taking a next step out of the comfort zone🤞🏻
