Great video as always matt
ОтветитьSomeone send this to Clayton
ОтветитьGood luck explaining this to Jose De Sousa 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьYou want to limit yourself with as less visits to the board as possible so in this instance I would be making sure I utilise the bull option after the first two darts from 261
ОтветитьI don't quite get why you should go bull after T5 and T20. 19's would be a way better option, because you could leave 129 rather than 136... But in fact you really should switch to the 19's with the second dart already and not potentially with the third!
ОтветитьNice video as always👌🏻
ОтветитьCan you please do when to switch to bull
ОтветитьDamn I'm in the middle of making a video just like this.. now I gotta scrap it because this is way better lmao
ОтветитьJules Van Dongen obviously didn't watch this before his ET match with Claydon. Did exactly this and left himself on 166.
ОтветитьVery interesting, the maths part still kills me but slowly getting better
ОтветитьGreat video as always matt love the hat always tryin to look like a gangster just need your hat the other way you'll be the spitting image of fred durst lead singer of limp bizkit
ОтветитьThank you for all the great content Matt, really appreciated
ОтветитьAnother good one, i find these really do help. I recommend watching Matt's treble 17 one as well!
ОтветитьI played league darts for at least 10 years. Life got the next 15 but I picked it up again 6 months ago as a way to help my brother rehab. I'm five times the dart player I was then except the math is not coming back. I don't get enough live repetition to force myself to use it properly anymore. I fixed every little quirk from before and upped my average to something i thought was impossible 20 years ago. Outs are fine but this type of set up stuff is currently beyond me. I want it back! Nothing is instinctual anymore beyond the outs. Is there something you recommend in terms of reading. I'll continue to throw and play all i can to get that repetition but i would like some foundation to work from. Any suggested resources for this type of stuff beside my continued throwing.
And as always great video!
Thanks
Nice change. This is one critical part of the game that gets little mentoring. I would like to see other videos dedicated to the math of darts. Darts is so mental and one cannot be distracted with trying to figure out the math.
ОтветитьThis counting is insane. I know it comes with experience but atm I'm trying to figure out what to hit when I'm 81
ОтветитьI like the term handful, it will use more often
ОтветитьThis video is great 🙂
ОтветитьShouldn't you start on the 19s at 261; 4x 19s + 25 leaves 160, 1 treble leads to a non-bull finish
ОтветитьFrom the age of 12 to 16 I did a lot of master counting ;).
ОтветитьSimplified, you are saying that, because leaving 170 is better than leaving 166 (which it is) you should aim at T19 when at 245 with 2 darts in hand.
This kind of reasoning is common amongst darts people. But it is flawed because they forget to consider the disadvantages of aiming at T19. For example: 2 x T20 leaves 126 which is clearly better than 132 (if you throw 2 x T19). Also, 2 x S20 leaves 206 which is slightly better than 208 (when you throw 2 x S19). And besides that, the advantage of leaving 170 vs. leaving 166 is very small: For this advantage to pay off you need to take out 170 in 3 darts in the case where your opponent would have taken out 261 with 6 darts.
So (ignoring other aspects for simplicity), you should aim at T19 only if the advantage is bigger than the disadvantage. This calculation depends on the level of the players. My calculation shows that in this specific case (with your opponent on 261) you should aim at T19 only if your 3-dart average is higher than 95, otherwise aiming at T20 is actually better.
I think Andersson (unknowingly) chose the correct target since he wasn't throwing that well at the time.
261 left why start on the 20’s. Why not just go at the 19’s automatically. 133 leaves 128. 171 leaves 90. And if you hit 76 just slide the dart over to the 15 to leave 170. Using the board is something all dart players should be practicing.
