the aiming reticle is bugged as hell, when some of your turrets are not facing the target in a proper line the reticle is bouncing like CRAZY. Try Prinz Eugen and try to adjust the distance properly. The distance will jump .3 km up and down all the time and you have to spend so much time trying to find the proper range.. It happens on Helena too but its not as crazy as on Eugen.. And some shells dealing no damage is another thing.
Ответитьwell i want to say it was a good run but they have seemingly abandoned the british navel tree on purpose and my little hope for it to ever get better was squashed by the Dev QnA where they mentioned adding the biggest and best BB's which kind of implys yamato to me which if no decompresion happens will finaly kill the game mode

ОтветитьSomething has changed, I noticed that 7.0 has become boring and very RNG, you aim for the juicy ammo and tou're lucky if it takes less than 8 salvos to explode, not only the dispersion is worse, you do less damage. And better not talk of the Scharnhost.
ОтветитьTook this out in test as have been looking forward to HMS Rodney on HMS Nelson since they started naval, 7 16" salvoes later I finally killed the first destroyer more then 8 min in game and the shells where missing by 200m over and 50 short although the spread left and right was no to bad. like that issue they had with HMS Dido a few years back. and some of the HE pens failed to explode or register damage! I have unlocked it already but I'm not going to grind that till its had some TLC

ОтветитьI'm glad for the 16" but they couldn't have done a post US reffit rodney or nelson? Ok ship but long reload on secondaries and ok AA, weres all my orlikons, pom poms and bofors at? Out of all the now 10 britsh capital ships, only 3 are WW2 and are 1941 with at least some dedicated AA. Where are the british Pacific fleet ships? The US has a dozen US refit ships covered in AA. The British have 3 with ok AA. Abysmal. Nelson must be post US refit with all the bofors and orlikons with its pom poms. Plesse.

ОтветитьI really would like them to add some of the non-premium battleships/ships to the normal tech tree aswell, i know they added HMS Barham, but she got sunk by a german u-boat and exploded (ammo magazine i think)
I would really love to see more famous ships for britain like Warspite or Queen Elizabeth herself, or maybe add HMS Duke Of York & King George V / Prince Of Wales?.
Gaijin really missing out on some of the more famous ships, not just britain but over-all for other nations, would be nice to see Bismarck and Iowa / New Jersey and so on?.

Ответитьapprently the dunk is suffering the same issues as this beautiful ship and i love ships that have this look, now all we have to do is come together and make gajin make positive changes to benefit naval once more.
ОтветитьAll of its strengths are completely overshadowed by the fact that any small hole below the waterline from the bridge forward floods the magazines leading to 80 second reloads and, in the worst case, sinking. It has to be a bug, but I can’t see Gaijin acknowledging the fact.

Ответитьhms rodney was built with an outer shell of the hull that would be used for water storage, British did this because fluid tonnage was not counted for the British in the Washington naval treaty because of how big of an empire they had, gaijin apparently thinks that the water tanks can 1, be flooded with water???? and 2, are connected to the main ship and that allows flooding to occur. its just gaijin being lazy with how unrepairable breeches are (damage model of barbette compartment extends past turrets into water causing more flooding if they are shooting ur deck (what?????)

This unrepairable breech mechanic is just absolute bullshit.
The only time the breech should be unrepairable on battleships is when a torpedo hits an unarmored part of the ship. NOT WHEN 6 INCH AP OF A HELENA STRIKES MY BELT ABOVE THE WATERLINE.
SMS SEYDLITZ DID NOT SINK GAYJIN, IT WAS HIT 22 TIMES BY 12+ INCH SHELLS AND GOT 1 TORPEDO HIT AND DID NOT MAGICALLY SINK FROM AN UNREPAIRABLE FUCKING BREECH.
And I'd understand that it was implemented together with better watertight compartment modelling, more horizontal bulkheads, some vertical separation as well.
BUT NO, 1 RANDOM HIT WITH A 12 INCH SHELL FLOODS MY ENTIRE ENGINE ROOM YEEEEEEEEEEEEESS.
Such a dumb fucking mechanic.
Nelson and Rodney are my favorite in terms of design

Can you link me your tutorial or just explain HOW to actually play naval? thank you in advance
ОтветитьThe problem with naval is that the maps are too small for ships like these. They were built to shoot at eachother from 16 to 20km away.
The guns all forward was not an issue IRL because you cannot specifically aim for a part of the ship. If your shell hits a turret, that's a really lucky AF shot. Not being able to stagger our salvos between turrets is also an issue. Ships like the Nelson and Nagato class could independantly elevate and fire the turrets in their guns. Would be nice if we could at least fire our guns independently of eachother (add it as a mode switch) so we can augment Battleship DPM. Hell, by 1944 most ships in the war at that point could fire their guns independently.
They really need to revamp the naval trees. It makes no sense.

( Although there are still allot of bugs.)

ОтветитьI don't know what gaijin did to larger calibers but even the japanese 410 mm's are useless now. Not to mention how inaccure they are. Like bruh, the british 380 mm's were the best, most accure battleship cannons of WW2(stated by many, many sources), yet in WT they are a complete joke...
ОтветитьAim is really bad in RB now. The range is uncontrollable at times. The range can get inaccurate and changes so fast, you cannot compensate with wheel scrolling. Makes aiming really hard at times.

Ответитьok so i have the Rodney and my take of it is, the armour is good but i get unrepairabe damage from almost any BB, the shells do no damage, its stupid
ОтветитьOk so its not just me having issues with the aiming good to know.
So Gaijin fucks up the aiming in naval. Seems to have never heard of bulkheads and compartmentisation so unrepairable breeches are just silly. As well as inconsistent becuase a ship could be hit by a decent sized shells but its shells as small as 20mm that cause the breech.
Then they fuck up the RDF/LT in many ways. How does Gaijin do this?
I mean they're Russian but its still just impressive their fuck ups.
In the attempt to fix the HE bug, gaijin has bugged out the HE filler of shells, bursting charge means absolutely nothing even a tiny piece of deck or 5mm plate will stop all your explosives and seems like overpressure damage is disabled.
Some ships like the Atlanta are unkillable now.
Most reliable way to get kills is spamming HE at the waterline, i discovered this when i was playing the stock malborough, suddenly the scharnhorst i was harassing starts tipping over and sinks at 70% crew
I completely quit playing because of the Naval Arcade Perma damage. I go out of my way to make sure others know how shit this game is because of it.
