Renovating A House From 1892 | Relocated

What about lead paint and possible lead pipes? What about asbestos plaster and insulation? What about outdated wiring and plumbing? What about foundation stability? What about heating and cooling systems? What about radon? ...I'm asking because I've considered buying a great grand old house for my final retirement house.

Been there, done that. Restored an 1885 Italianate Victorian; original floors, windows, trim, plaster walls, everything. Took up 7 years of my life and hundreds of thousands of dollars. Proud of the result? Yes. Would I do it again, NEVER! Definitely a project for 20 somethings to early 30s. Not worth it as you get older and want to have a kid or two. And be sure to carefully consider the location because even with a beautiful old restored home....location is EVERYTHING when it comes to determining its final value.

With an extensive renovation requiring specialized craftsmen, she's certainly paying for more per month than the $800 that she is claiming. Windows, wiring, roof, insulation, plumbing, heating are all the basics needing attention, and all are expensive.

❗🏡If you want to buy cheap house there's a lot of old villages in Bulgaria 🇧🇬 which are abounded for so many years literally you could buy a house for 3 000€ some villages have 10-20 citizens some have more, but it's so sad that most people are living in big cities because of their jobs..

Any updates?

Someone from Wheeling should take a drive past this building and see if any work was done. I suspect someone bought this home to get a lot of attention to themselves...a self-serving grift from a "social media influencer".
