Good man...I bet he did have a difficult time of it in the beginning. The Fender team was amazing in those days and I really enjoy hearing their story first hand...thank you!

My first guitar is an 🇺🇸 strat. I just got a 2018 butterscotch Fender player telecaster and it's an amazing guitar and butterscotch wasn't my first pick of color but I really like the color now.

Before learning electric guitar, I somehow picked up that some electric guitars were solid bodied, and that some were hollow bodied. But I had no idea of what those differences meant. Similarly baffling to me about electric guitars were all the switches, knobs, bar-shaped pickup things, & some kind of handle-bar thing (whammy bar) which one saw on electric guitars in catalogs, and being played in bands. To me then, all that electric guitar hardware was mysterious, but cool-looking. It was sort of like the shiny, cool-looking, impressive engine hardware on an automotive hot rod!
