I was working on an archviz project involving a room with sloped ceiling and I always had to render an extra triangle when I go for a section. So I was like maan I wish there was a way to make custom shaped render regions...😂

Wonderful. Guys, please add a checkbox to GPU mode “save render elements to separate folders” like it was done in CPU mode. This simple option really matters for composing.

This is a pretty weak major update. 5 was really big, 6 was decent and 7 appears to be a bunch of gimmicks.

How does Vray 7 GPU compare to Fstorm or Redshift now? I'm asking, because Fstorm's lighting fast compared to Vray 6 GPU, which was always the slowest of all GPU supporting engines.

The end of those type of software is near. Look at D5, they are progressing faster than anyone

I wouldn't think gaussian splats have a future over more advanced forms of mesh photogrammetry. You still don't have a neural denoise that works on the light without washing out subtle textures? multiple free renderers for blender has that. It can reduce render times several times yet you haven't done it yet? vray is expensive and slow now, not a good combo, folks.

It's a crying shame you guys went down the software rental route to shaft the user base out of more money, I'd love to upgrade but unless there's a perpetual license I'm not interested.
