I was surprised to learn about her complex relationship with her father. I know something firsthand about those. There's a fine line between love and hate there. I NEVER hated my father, on the contrary, loved him so very much. I spent my young adult years trying to make him proud of me, but feel like I never acheived that. I have 2 older and 1 younger. I was even referred to by my oldest sis as the black-sheep. Dad passed away in 1989. Maybe one day I'll know the answer.

Very good, educational video! I never know much about her personal life before, and this video taught me a great deal about her. I'm not too surprised to learn that she was a political activist, since many episodes of Bewitched touched on her liberal views. I'm also not surprised to learn that she was a warm and loving person, since she seemed that way to me on the show as well. However, I was surprised to learn about her difficult relationship with her father and her first husband.

Elizabeth Montgomery is one of my all-time favorite actresses! Although she was known for little other than Bewitched, it was always obvious to me that aside from her amazing beauty, she was also an incredible actress! It's a shame that she died so young as well as the fact that she wasn't cast in more acting roles. I can see being worked into some of Norman Lear's productions as an outspoken feminist and political activist, for instance. It would have been great to see her confront Archie Bunker and tear down his bigotry! I even think she could've even been worked into a permanent role on The Jeffersons, perhaps as Lionel's wife. In any case, I miss her! I was very upset when she died, but she'll always have a place in my heart.

She was a raving beauty. And like many raving beauties, she developed a pattern of jumping in and out of relationships with 'somewhat less than ideal' partners.

Elizabeth Montgomery was my first celebrity crush when I was just a kid. Of course I loved her in Bewitched , but I was very impressed with her performances in The Twilight Zone with Charles Bronson and in Boris Karloff's Thriller with Tom Poston and John Carradine. And she was terrific playing Lizzie Borden in an ABC Movie Of The Week.

I was surprised that it was colon cancer. I always thought it was breast cancer. I was truly saddened the day she died. I loved 😍♥ her. FOREVER ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY 1933-1995. She was with new hubby Robert Foxworth for a short 2 years before she died😢.

A little correction. Elizabeth didn't struggle that long with colon cancer. She wasn't feeling well during the making of her last movie. She started feeling pain and started losing weight. The producers called her doctor and gave her some mild pain killers. They didn't work after a while but Liz wanted to finish the movie and she cared for thise on the production.

She was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with colon cancer. By then, it was to late. This was in March of 1995. She died May 18th in her sleep.

REELZ did a special on Liz's cause of death in 2021. A Dr. Mark Hunter, a ferencic pathologist, shows what caused her death, looking at her life and family history.

One thing that was brought out on the program, was that her husband, Robert Foxworth, had had a hip rellacement and Liz was taking care of him while she wasn't feeling well. This is who she was, caring.

Oh, the cancer had also spread to Liz's lungs. Dr. Hunter mentioned that colon cancer usually attacks the liver, but her cancer spread pretty fast. Unfortunately, coloniscopy wasn't as common, as they are now.

RIP Ms. Elizabeth Montgomery. I always loved watching Bewitched as a kid and love the reruns. She always seemed so classy and intelligent. I always thought she was very pretty too. I am so saddened to hear how terrible her romantic life was, so many failed marriages, but obviously no shortage of offers to marry. She always seemed like a "catch" to some lucky guy, with many good qualities. I also wish Hollywood had given her more choice roles as I believe she was a great actress or would have been able to do more than Samantha. Well, I hope she is in bliss wherever she is now. She left a great legacy even if her daily life was at times a struggle.
