poor Watson !!!
ОтветитьAwwww poor Watson... Sherlock be nice! Don't make me come over there! XD *Hugs them both*
ОтветитьDear Watson, whatever do you think is the justification for your existence??? Writing reports of Holmes` cases (even if you do it miserable), and nothing, I repeat, NOTHING else. So don´t you dare being cute when criticized by the master, for it means you question the only purpose of your own poor, nonrelevant little life! :)
Ответить@Londonrainwaters *Irrelevent little life. You make it sound as if they aren't friends at all.
Ответить@TheRainstorm97 No, of course they`re friends, very close friends. It`s just that I love Holmes` haughtiness and arrogance and the catty way he treats Watson sometimes and talks down to him. I often think he`s very lucky to have such a loyal and long-suffering friend who never really resents his presumptuosness.
Ответить" I will, my dear Watson, I will! " Promises, nothing but promises.......;)
Ответить@SneverusSnapers Yeeeaaaah, you´re entirely right for the BOOKS - but in the series it´s never mentioned. Personally, I`m pretty sure that the Holmes that JB plays would never write anything himself - that is,not until Watson dies and he HAS to write his own reports to spread his fame and glory.:)
ОтветитьLittle sassypants.
ОтветитьI love it that throughout the books, Holmes is repeatedly critical of Watson's work- yet when the time comes that Holmes himself tries his hand at writing accounts of his own work, he laments that he cannot properly dramatize it as Watson would have, and complains that his own stories lack the mystery and luster of his friend's. I'm certain that when Watson read Holmes's stories he greatly appreciated that concession.
ОтветитьSo basically we have Sir Arthur, through the character of Holmes, condemning Sir Arthur's own writing.
ОтветитьThis is probably from Abbey Grange. This is nothing in comparison to copper beeches where he goes on and on criticizing Watson. And in Sign Of Four too. Jeremy has mastered the sometimes rude and brilliant detective to an alarming perfection.
ОтветитьSpoiler alert: He wrote two and then gave up (the Blanched Soldier and the Lion's Mane).
ОтветитьWatson: Write them yourself
Holmes: Fine! I will
writes two
Holmes: John help, this is hard
Edwardian speak for Foff!
ОтветитьI love their dynamics, co-dependence and frustration. Sherlock knows he has the by far superior intellect but he lacks something that Watson has that he doesn't.
