Really like your videos. You are definitely cut and have had great results on the Tonal. A friend of mine has one and has similar results to you. So I tried his Tonal out and ordered one right away (March 22 is projected ship date!). I really like the three modes (chains/eccentric/spotter- I did 2 sets chains, 2 sets eccentric, and last set of spotter to failure) and really loved the weight off/on button, along with the bar tilt safety option. I have some old injuries/aches/pains and having no weight while getting in position was super nice!
ОтветитьThe heavy duty weight bands are the way to go for someone who travels. I actually thought the MaxPro was basically just weight bands that were shortened/lengthened based on the dial on it for how much weight/resistance you want. In that case, there would be eccentric resistance. But I guess my whole view about it was wrong.
ОтветитьAnother great video
ОтветитьJoey thanks for the video. I haven't purchased the MAXPRO but it can be bought on Amazon and returned very easily with them. Can the Tonal be mounted on a wall measuring 5 feet in width and how much is it ?
ОтветитьWell and thoroughly done video!
ОтветитьGreat video!! I’m going to get weight bands!
Thank you!
Bro, can I do my workouts with Tonal without paying subscription?
ОтветитьThis video was well put. I came here for just an honest review but it also became a workout lesson. I've been on tension bands for a long time now and was just waiting for the right machine to come along. Until I saw this video I was unaware how much value eccentric movement contribute to the overall muscle development. Until they develop a gravity chamber (DBZ reference) i will be sticking with my tension bands for the time being. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI bought when it was a Kickstarter for less than half that price with all the attachments. I get a great workout with it. Yes, it doesn’t have eccentric resistance. I work all groups twice a week. I’m able to do that because I don’t get the DOMS you get with eccentric breakdown. I probably wouldn’t have purchased it for $1000, but for $440 it was a steal.
ОтветитьWhat do you think about Kynett One or Handy Gym that are eccentric portable Gear ? Thanks in advance
ОтветитьARE YOU SURE THE QUESTION ISN'T....WTF IS UP WITH YOUR HAIR BABY HUEY
ОтветитьJUST GET A PILATES BAR KIT WITH VARIETY OF BAND STRENGTHENS 🙄
ОтветитьBlah Blah Blah Fast Forward
ОтветитьThis is a review from a guy who has never used the machine
ОтветитьThe eccentric mode was one of the major factors in my decision to go with the Tonal as I deal with joint issues that end up costing me progress.
ОтветитьIs it just me or does his face doesn't fit his body lol
ОтветитьDo you have any thoughts on the X3 bar system?
ОтветитьYou lost me at "because I've never used it"...
ОтветитьI went ahead and purchased this because Tonal is too expensive. I want to try the Max Pro out. Love the idea of being able to take it anywhere and for minimal space. No eccentric is the bummer though.
ОтветитьI did not know Waldo worked out
ОтветитьI dont think its because you are "stronger" since you use the same muscle on both eccentric and concentric. I think its because in general "holding" is easier than pushing/pulling so THAT makes you more time under tension and THAT leads to more muscle failure.. maybe you meant that and i understood wrong dont know. Great video tho. Lot of information.
ОтветитьJoey, your video and sharing spirit is motivational! I am wondering how long is Tonal's cable max length? I checked MaxPro's is 10 feet, wondering how long is Tonal's. Can’t find any specs on offical website. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьDude tonal only has a max weight of 200 lbs. I bench press with free weights at 220 at 10 to 12 reps 240 at 8 to 12 reps per set 260 at 6 to 8 reps per set and 280 at 4 to 6 reps. How is tonal any good if the max weight is only 200 lbs? It sounds like the max pro is the same as free weights. Am I wrong? Let me know.
ОтветитьThose fluffy slippers tho …
Ответитьdamn i wish had space for a Tonal lol ...great review thanks for explaining the difference
ОтветитьTonal is going to blow your minds for over $2k and $50/month LOL. I rather return to they gym for that price. Max pro is great for people who know how to work out. For newbies idk you may hate it as its an adjustment with the 0 eccentric. Goes from load to no load on the way down. My 2 cents is just go as heavy as you can handle and engage the muscle through the whole movement then squeeze at the top of the movement for 2 seconds. I have been doing that and I have been sore in new areas i haven't before. I've been having a full day pump now and mind you I have been working out with my powerblock 90lb dbs and never felt like this.
Ответитьwhy do you only have 1k subscribers? Your tonal content is dope. I plan on buying it and you played a major role in that decision.
ОтветитьWith the the amount of effort you put into your videos and your passion for Tonal I really hope they make you an official spokesperson.
ОтветитьIn your demo, 70% more resistance's being controlled eccentrically than lifted, but eccentric strength is also greater than static strength. Could you set the eccentric SO heavy that you can only hold it statically for a short count, followed by using all your strength to slow-down an irresistible negative?
ОтветитьPower's a skill; it needs to be trained@EXACTLY the skill you need. Added muscle can be applied to any skill.
ОтветитьEccentric-only includes a rest-period between every rep. That might be good for something, but nothing i care about.
ОтветитьWait did this guy just review something that he doesn't use?
ОтветитьWhy does that lesbian have such big arms but no neck?
ОтветитьIf you’re going to use roids at least do them right and work your body even you look like an ostrich that just popped out of an egg shell hatch 🐣
ОтветитьThank you for talking me out of buying a MaxPro. I'll start looking into the Tonal system tonight.
ОтветитьI don't think they are even comparable, they aren't in the same class. The maxpro kinda reminds me of an infomercial-tier or HSN-tier type of product. Tonal is more comparable to a Bowflex Revolution for reasons you mentioned. But, it's capable of much more resistance. You should try one of those sometime.
ОтветитьYou have a great tattoo artist, who does your work?
ОтветитьI just recieved the max pro. Im in the process of returning this thing. Not smooth at all. yes it's constant tension but It stutters, bumpy, and not consistent movement as you pull or push it. I had high hopes for this thing but guys this is definitely not it. Save your money!
