WHY MEGAN IS ALWAYS MISSING IN SOME PERFORMANCES IS SHE ALWAYS SICK? OR DOES SHE HAVE CURFEW?

I like the concept of this group, to form a girl group with different backgrounds, culture and personalities is just mind blowing. As a Filipino Sophia is a pride to all of us making her not just her dream but to make a mark as Pinoy in a global stage. It’s nice to see young Filipinos reaching and making their dream to reality. To all young generation whose trying to pursue their music career regardless which country or nationality they came from hang in there. Training maybe hard and the world maybe harsh sometimes but you’ll get there someday.

Watching the documentary you’ll know why Kpop has become popular throughout the past years—it’s the level of marketing their idols through live music performances, aesthetic mvs, reality shows, fan engagements like fancalls,fanmeets etc. Unlike western groups who are limited only in releasing songs and an mv, they could only have live performance like awards show, festival or like being on tour. There is lack of fan engagements that’s why it’s mostly general public and because of this it is hard to turn casual listeners to fans.

I do hope the management of katseye continue this kpop marketing style of them on putting a lot of contents going on music shows and visiting other countries because the moment they stop doing this they would just become a normal western group.
Fans love watching their idols and all the contents they continuously do. Lack of contents are the reason why fans jump from another group to another.

It may seem that kpop has seen a decline since a lot of groups debuting left and right but with popular entertainment companies debuting their new groups it is a matter of time when a potential new one would rise that would level up and be popular like BTS and Blackpink. And seeing how kpop groups are now multilingual it would be easy now to communicate w/ international fans.

That’s why I do hope whatever they are doing to katseye marketing they continue it because these girls really do have the talent and IT factor to become BIG. They are all like CENTERS in their own way.

With the rise of popularity of Katseye we can say that other kpop companies would follow these steps since they knew it click to the people.

I saw Megan as a lead from the beginning, not necessarily because she’s the best. It was her height, long limbs, and long hair that made any other position than upfront seem asymmetrical. The Netflix doc was good, but the show’s producers made some poor decisions toward the end. They blindsided the girls, after a year of being together, that they were really in a survival show, and by adding new members late in the process. Several different combinations, or substitutions, would have worked just as well. If you were, like me, only watching the show, it was a big surprise when I saw how different the fans felt about the girls; for example, Manon went from 20th to 4th. It was clear that the original crew was were a little frustrated as well, and rightly so. I love what Lexi did, and I thought the producer sounded stupid by implying “they” had to let her go; no, she didn’t show up on purpose because of the way they handled the elimination process. I thought the show was great and all of the girls’ were extremely talented and worked so hard. It’s crazy, I watched the show in a day, but these girls’ were living and training for more than a year.

Manon may not have been the most technically talented in DA but her debut was essential for the success of KATSEYE. So many people have no idea what DA is/are just now learning about the doc knew about Manon from when her DA headshot went viral. It’s not even pretty privilege, her personality aura and vibe just is 100% the IT factor, You can build technical skills in most people, it’s much harder to find pure star quality.

Daniela is so well rounded

At 66, I'm not particularly a fan of girl groups, especially this generation's, as they all seem to be cookie-cutter, teenybopper, cutesy-girls, with the same old-same old bubble gum songs. I'll take a chance and listen to a new gg mv or two, but they don't usually speak to my vibe. Katseye's 1st mv was different. They brought it, and struck me as very strong young women. I was impressed, and I continue to be impressed. Good job, everyone! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Yeahhh, Sophia's voice really reminds me of Disney princesses, both her speaking and singing voice. She could be a voice actor for a future Disney princess.

Also, in terms of her physical appearance, this might be an unpopular opinion, but she kind of reminds me of Mulan. I don't knowwww, but she really does. Her face and most especially her hair, the color and the shape of it is somewhat similar to Mulan's. She could pass as Mulan for a live-action movie of Mulan. I thought I was the only one who thought of this until I saw one comment in a Facebook reel that they also see Mulan in Sophia. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

many global girl groups will follow after Katseye... first timers always face the shocking reactions.. combining 2 ingredients to hit big in the pop music industry is risky but the experiment is successful... this is the future of pop group music..

Just watch the Pop Academy ...I see why the girls are chosen. They stood out the most and fierce. Megan is like a silent assassin. She has this strong presence on camera. Those who didn't make it to be part of the group are extremely talented. But the chemistry of Sophia, Lara, Megan, Yoonchae, Manon and Danielle I guess is what stood out the most.

Sophia's fanbase is sick it will pay all the bills

Honestly so glad Katseye has a unique debut concept, almost thought every GG that Debut would be Y2K Newjeans 2.0

Their high are perfect. Their beauty doesn't outshine each other. Their vocals blend beautifully as a team.

Personal opinions don't matter. With a few exceptions, why most K-pop groups doesn't last for long? Young talents in Korea like Mamoland, Fifty-Fifty etc., fell in the hands of irresponsible and corrupt people acting as Managers who exploit them. Koreans needs to explain this serious allegation.

Tbh, Manons star quality is the only reason I was drawn to the group and it confuses me why they keep putting her in the back.

Since it was a survival show for a Global Girl Group Hybe/Geffen, there was more of an honest take on the selection unlike Korean Only Girl Groups like R U Next..... when you have the committee be Korean focused you will have Rigging taking place. But Geffen wanted it to be a Global Girl group, if HYBE tried to shoehorn only Korean Beauty Standards they were in for a real backlash from the Global audience.

So Manon is the visual, got it.

I remember when they started and people were laughing and the low streams compared to other survival and I remember saying....this is about to be HYBE greatest....everything good in hybe starts small😂 no true😂
I love these girls!

Honestly I'm worried about them, I feared they would face each other for the spotlight, backed up by the agency like a lot western GG. Especially 1 member, many times she has seen not really connect with others, really hope it's just my fear and she's close to the members.
