Edit: it was able to learn submission, rock smash, maybe cross chop, focus punch and seismic toss (toss isn't stab) til gen 3, I'm thinking.

Its crazy to think about how when pokemon red and blue were new, it really was the first monster collection game. The idea of taking a bunch of monsters, befriending them, then battling against another team of monsters was kind of unheard of, so a lot of the weird designs were probably just a result of how new of a concept monster battling was

The only "bad" sprites in yellow are Mewtwo who hits a dumb pose, but for the rest is fine and Venusaur who's head is too big
