ОтветитьFarage does NOT matter in historical terms, except to show how many people fall for a liar.
ОтветитьYay! Another Private Eye podcast! I work abroad so my copy takes another couple of weeks to get here so it’s great to hear what to expect. BTW Andrew, love the new Radio 4 show!
ОтветитьThree posh voices, probably from private schools that went to Oxbridge etc. Diversity needed maybe.
Ответитьomg what an awful image to foist on us for the duration of the podcast!!!
ОтветитьPiers probably got a chatbot to write that hagiographical drivel
ОтветитьPermanent Paper Podcast ™
ОтветитьGive all soaps the effects budget the Archers works with :D
ОтветитьToo much WAFFLE
ОтветитьAnybody else having to check they weren't listening to the rest is entertainment. 😊😊
ОтветитьRats are far more civilised 🐀
ОтветитьI used to live in Kidderminster, I'm trying to remember all the tattoo parlours in Worcester... Transient as they are. 😊
Ответитьwhat is it about guys named Rupert…
“old-fashioned” is a mild manner’d summation of anything that guys
named Rupert (and Nigel) put their (purported) minds to, is it not?
fortunately, for all of us, the right are, famously, self-destructive infighters.
the Beeb. the Beeb. what do you do with a thing called the Beeb?
keep it. but get rid of the political, corporate aristocrat appointees?
if there is a possibility of running into BoJo, i’m not going.
particularly when it costs a grand a night.
for that kind of money, i want a guarantee against the possibility of running into him.
it’s funny how oil has become the (pardon me) lubricant for “deals”.
Spouting unesseary Rowling characters after 1 minutes?
Aaaaaand block ...
In 2025 only people who Really want to upset Trans people mention Potter.
But what would we expect from such poshos hmm?...
TV fee should weigh heavily on non farmers buying large farms to avoid taxes/1000 acre shooting excuse.
ОтветитьLove the podcast. Glad there's a print edition now. Gonna try it out.
ОтветитьWho relies on the BBC for news? They lied about the reasons for invading Iraq, have been mouthpieces for Israeli propaganda with regard to Gaza and are blaming the victims for the slaughter of Alawites in Syria.
ОтветитьWho's the guy on the video that thinks the BBC News reporting is 'great' for the public, seen Laura Tory Girl Kuntsberg? The BBC is politically 'influenced', has been for a loooong time.
ОтветитьFunny how disarticulating journalists is a RED LINE primarily for journalists.
ОтветитьIsn't Helen's point up about "quality" just the modern version of the rivalry between cinema and tv? TV comes along and the cinema responds by making swords and sandal epics.
ОтветитьRupert Lowe made such a shemozzle of Southampton FCs finances. How could anyone trust this mediocrity with thruppence until tea-time, let alone a seat in parliament. Does no one in the UK do their due diligence any more?
ОтветитьThat slight pause after she mentioned her piercings 😂 I don’t know the last time I heard so little silence filled with so much subtext 😂
ОтветитьOn linear programming, I would suggest the hosts investigate twitch, which seems to have replaced TV for a large number of my friends (who sadly do not share my interest in investigative journalism)
ОтветитьHelen is correct about LIV. They distinguish their tournament buy playing 54 holes v the normal 72. So it is a play on 54.
ОтветитьShocked at the dumbing down at the start, I'd imagined you three would have wondered when to meet again, rather than going for the Harry Potter slide🤷♂️
ОтветитьBit of a silly episode this … you need to get dumbledore back
ОтветитьYou really need to film every one of these. No one wants to look at Farage.
ОтветитьDoes MBS still have a sale on?
ОтветитьSympathy for people with 5 bedroom houses. Private Eye being out of touch to an extreme degree once again.
Ответитьi just love Eye podcasts, there's so much pleasure in turning Andrew Hunter Murray sound OFF
ОтветитьRe. BBC funding there is an easy first step: charge for iPlayer. Speaking as an expat there are many Brits (and other nationalities) who would pay for BBC iPlayer but we have to pay for an VPN to access it. So live BBC could be free or subsidised and retrospective viewing on iPlayer would be charged.
ОтветитьFarage the atropos hairnet of politics.
ОтветитьBanal surface trivia.
ОтветитьExcellent, as always…. 👍🏼
ОтветитьWhen Farage inevitably leaves Reform will not fold because sugar daddy Elon will hold it together with glue provided by X...or... amalgamation with Tories...or ...emigrate to Mars
ОтветитьPlease think carefully about the image you use - this picture of Poundshop Moseley made my breakfast sour.....
ОтветитьI think the BBC's reputation for accurate and impartial reporting of the news has taken a hit following the accusations of pro-Israel bias levelled at it by its own staff. If it's lying, whether by omission or using soft language, about an alleged genocide, one wonders what else is being spun/misreported/under-reported?
