My sister. Forty years in hospital. Scitzo.😢
ОтветитьThank you for your intelligent information,my daughter in law,has Bi-Polar 1 and your description of
Mentally ill people,describes her exactly.
Fortunately for her,she lives reluctantly in reality..she’s terrified of Psychosis. And we,my son ( her husband) and myself (I’m a Widow)look out and encourage her. She’s also very compliant with taking her medication thankfully.🌹🇨🇦
I'm from India Sir. I really appreciate your lectures. You are one of the best Professor in entire world and handsome also ❤❤
ОтветитьI kind of go through the opposite it’s like I crave a change but I almost feel incapable of a lot of the things I not only want to change but need to
ОтветитьAs a BPD person prone to all sorts of addictions, I seem to develop one to your lectures😊Everything is perfectly explained.
ОтветитьDr.Vaknin, I was wondering do you have any videos on how one can cope with the loss of a loved one? Having very limited memories with them, but remembering their day to day personality vividly, and can't help but get very emotional thinking of my dad whom just passed at the age of 70. If not, I'd like if you can make any video about grief, and how to deal with it, especially in the case of losing a parent that you loved Soo much, and can't help but feel hurt that they won't be around to see you at your best (achieving your goals and dreams, being the best version of yourself possible), as well as not being able to create more memories with their physical presence around, or the fact that he passed all alone by himself in a cold hospital (so isolated), seeing that death is already a cold experience, as he wanted to pass at home around human warmth, with those he shared a lot of loving memories with, all of this crushes me so bad, knowing that I have to cope with haven't had told him how much he meant to me, whilst he was still here. Thanks in advance. I look forward to your feedback.
ОтветитьThe world has become too stimulating for some. There must have been a time when humans were at peace and safe?
ОтветитьKatatonia is actually... a good band!
ОтветитьThis is the most important lecture I’ve heard from you! Crucial information that explains so much. Thank you!
ОтветитьMust watch twice! This explains so much . Maybe most important lecture? Thanks Sam you're awesome ,a lifesaver.
ОтветитьIf possible, dear Professor, could you please make a video about mental health of the people who organised black and doom or dead metal bands and after some years after died in real life, and how the early start of being a follower of such music can affect the mental health of the listeners as well 🙏
Why also such amazing and talented people of grange epoch such as lane Staily ( Alice in Chains), Peter Steel ( Type O Negative), Kris Cornell ( Soundgarden) died so young, being on the top of career and why the most intelligent and highly intellectual people are mostly depressive or dependent? Why suffering pushes to create and achieve, while comfort and stability leads to the stagnation?
That is fascinating. I didn't know that about Tetanus and what a genius way of putting the rigidity into perspective regarding the mentally ill.
ОтветитьProfessor - would you consider addressing America's running Ex President pathology and his current state and potential future. Your ability to explain in detail is very important and excellent. As an American, this would be so helpful in my opinion. Thank you
ОтветитьIt explains why I have hypertonuse
ОтветитьThank you, very much appreciated 💫
ОтветитьWhat is the definition of mental illness please?
ОтветитьSalam from Iran to genius Sam Vaknin
ОтветитьI get depressed thinking TOO much about the problems in reality - I require balance such as healthy hobbies, exercise routines, problem solving techniques and meditation in silence. Otherwise, I would be totally insane!
ОтветитьHoly shit. That is all I have to say. Peace to those that can relate to the information Sam gives.
ОтветитьYou can expand this to authority also. Which frequently demonstrates how unwell it actually is.
Ответитьaimentalhealthadvisor AI fixes this. Reality control in mental illness.
ОтветитьProfessor Vaknin, you're courage (giving yourself genuinely)
and sharing truths that I trust, is appreciated more than you may realize. Thank you!
Everyone lives in a „bubble.“ „Reality“ is the much smaller part. I guess 20%. This should be the intersection with other people. It‘s common sense. This is your root to reality. You don‘t want to loose it. Otherwise you feel lonely etc. and get psychological problems. The same if you make it the bigger part and trying to control it.
So, you must learn trust into yourself, and the world. Control is then not necessary.
Good job
ОтветитьVery interesting lecture. My brother suffers from schizophrenia. Mental rigidity is visible and muscular rigidity is also present. However, beautifully responds to treatment.
ОтветитьThis makes so much sense
Ответитьmy brain is swole by now
