a lot of complaining about invincibility... she looks good and balanced now.
one way to get more invulnerability: arcane escapist from new temporal archimidea, triggered by finishers, easy to initiate through naramon school or zakti + melee.
Looking forward to a revamp of armour/ health changes, like you suggested in another vid: health / armour gate.

Doesn't matter what they do now. Without the invulnerability the identity is gone.
And no it will be less build diversity cause there's now there's no mechanics to consider. Welcome to another frame reduced to adaptation, rolling guard spam.
Ohh look. Changes to Valkyr that will make her scale to level 300 instead of 250. Wow. Such great fix that will surely allow her to not have 6 of her mod slots taken up adaptation, umbrals and warcry. Such build diversity. Or shield gating anyway.
If I wasn't looking forward to spider frame I'd be disappointed in DE. But at least they're consistent. It's not like it might be nice to delay the Valkyr rework until they deal with health taking.
It has a simple fix, add armour + health Gates in the health bard. Have 10k EHP? Splits your bar in 2. 20k, in 3, 40k, in 4 etc. one instance of damage can't do more than a bar. 0.1 seconds of gating each time you lose a bar.
Job done
The Valkyr changes remain tone deaf and thousands of feedback remain ignored

ОтветитьI still don't get why they don't simply add a mechanic that prevents one shotting. Like "Cannot receive over 50% of your max health as damage from a single attack" ... thats IT. Now you must be hit at least twice in a short window to be once shotted. You could even make it scale with armor, like the more armor the less damage you can take from one single attack...
Its not like that would affect early game much- its not like you are getting one shotted by early game enemies. And its not like you can easily regen your health in a mission, most frames still need to rely on health orbs on the ground, specially newer players.
It would really start to shine in end-game... i think it would be really good and easy change to be made.
Besides... the Steel path dedicant eximus units already have that, its not like they don't know how to do it.
Idk who asked for the ulti change on valkyr, legit the only reason I played her. I dont think there was a single time where I wish I did more dmg on valkyr. i play her for the invuln man…
ОтветитьOne possibility I haven't heard is valkyr gaining her rage back during her 5 seconds of invulnerability, which could make her passive as a psuedo permanent invulnerablity.
Basically. Valkyr dies, losses rage, gets death prevention, cast ripline to group enemies, regain rage, dies gets death prevention, rinse and repeat.
If she cant walk on walls I dont want it.

ОтветитьIf DE don't want to make the early game content too boring, then why not leave things as they are now, but add a game system with buffs you can unlock over time that only take effect when youre in steel path? Or when fighting enemies over a certain level? To begin with, any above average player is still functionally immortal on non steel path so their concerns have already been realised 😅
They should buff health and armour tanking to bring it closer to shield gating but then look more into my option i said above.
Don't really care much for valk but a spider frame is nice 😂

I think this matters for more than just endurance runners. I suck flat out, i struggle with valkyr as she is now in SP circuit or ETA, I don't think I'll be able to run her anymore with this nerf.
ОтветитьSpiders are only a problem with photorealism. If they're robotic or sufficiently stylized, I'm fine. Ditto for Scorpions.

ОтветитьThey made her lifesteal worse not better, a flat health value per hit is not the same as one that scales with your hp(%lifesteal). Especially if they increase her HP pool.

The only change I need made to Valkyr is changing the name of Hysteria. That just comes across as misogynistic.
I wonder, to make health tanking viable they have to work around lower levels, if they make lets say armor give more damage reduction in its calculation, maybe a lower level player in the 70-80 lvl range will have a easier time at not dying with less investment in their builds for that kind of survivability. Maybe it will make the game easier and less exciting for players in that range. (im speaking without the knowledge if a player that just unlocked incursions or arbitrations has trouble surviving or is just easy now a days with the amount of mods).
Maybe they can add a calculation of Damage reduction depending on current enemy level, the higher the level, the more DR it gives?
At least from the changes seen she'll be much better. Nobody played her because her claim to fame was invulnerablility. Which like 20 frames did better.
Now that she is more viable for 99% of the game, instead I think she's a lot healthier.
Maybe make tether 10 instead of 9, though. Besides that she's golden

ОтветитьI feel a super easy fix to make everyone happy is change her augments. I main valkyr, and honestly I found one of her hysteria augments redundant and not particurally easy to use.
The one the you can pretty the alt attack and leap at enemies, just isnt that needed. Replace that one with "current" hysteria. People who want invuln at the cost of more energy can have it, and people who want the new changes can also have it.
Valkyr Was my main since they came out in 2013. Im so glad that they are finally giving her a buff after murdering her original Hysteria
ОтветитьSeeing this Rework gives me a Little spark of Hope they can touch up Excal a bit and make him a bit more. Why Limit him to just Small swords? Make an Augment that lets you choose from all the Blade styles. Or alter Slash Dash to create after images that explode in a blind. So much can be done to this and Oberon and a few more. I am hopeful.

ОтветитьThe only other frame I know of the community didn’t fully like the change to was Ember’s ult and I believe something with Saryn (I took a break from the game during that one), but otherwise everyone else DE (mainly Pablo Jesus) has touched everyone has been fine with, up until Valkyr.
Her ult is was made her unique and made her, her. The change now takes that uniqueness away and is another tank frame that has a buffed Dagath 3, minus the weapon crits.
Maybe instead of armor being just some DR make warframes armor translate dmg to hp into a flat value. I mean if an enemy deals 1M dmg it deals 100 or 1000 dmg to health

ОтветитьLate to the game, but I feel like (with Venka Prime in mind) linking Valkyr's deathgate to combo count could have been the answer.
I know Kullervo already has the UI for combo count so it wouldnt look as unique, but imagine draining a heavies worth of combo for a few seconds of air, rather than 50% of your damage?
