ОтветитьWait a minute every modern car key is power by a internal Battery. If the key Battery is dead the car will not read and it wont start the ignition process. You never open the battery power KEY to check if it has a Battery at all. HONDA KEYS give the driver a warning that powered battery is WEAK and should replace it immediately or else the car wont start !!! Something does not seem right in your analysis of the situation.

ОтветитьI wonder if the key was broken, or just from a different vehicle. Would you have the same symptoms with a key from a different vehicle? BMW vehicles show a warning when the wrong key is used.

Also, I heard that the new Mercedez is using new technology that requires a password from their HQ, this is required even for Mercedez techs, since this is an older car, I don't think this is the same but would like to know how true that is.

ОтветитьHi there, I just wanted to ask a question, when you said you did “all keys lost”, on most vehicles doesn’t it erase all the previous “working” keys ? So even if you were to find the “lost” key(s) they wouldn’t work, would they?. Unless when you clone a key straight from the EIS it copies the same exact file as the one in the original ( non working ) key and adds it as an extra key. Please explain how it works if you can. Thank you! 🙏

ОтветитьIt’s the steering column lock. It’s a faulty sensor. I just had the exact same issue. Gently would jiggle the steering wheel and it would occasionally work. I did verify it with my scan tool. I thought it was the ignition. It’s a faulty that I pulled on my Autel IM608 PRO II and it pulled the code. It does not want you staring the vehicle if steering is locked. Took a while to figure this out. It would work and not work… so random. But 100% fixed the problem.

ОтветитьGreat intel and behind the scenes regarding benz keys. Unsure why you clicked the hazards fyi that has zero affect on scanning our cars. Benz’s that is. Also this model is prone to bad steering lock modules (im absolutely sure youre aware of that) and theres a super fast way I test keys. Put keys from another car in here, the dash will say “wrong key inserted “ that automatically passes the eis and steering lock. Then take the “bad key “ and put into another benz and if the dash doesn’t respond its a bad key. Of course it helps to have available cars/keys 😊. I really enjoy your channel bro
ОтветитьI had the same problem with my CLK Mercedes, but the key would not turn. I used my spare key, and the problem solved.

ОтветитьThis process is very technical and requires expensive equipment. On a 2015 ML400, FOBS Signals intermittently respond. The door sensor as well. The hold down signal, to open or close all doors and windows simultaneously etc., does not work at all. I tried resetting to factory settings but problem continues. What is your advice on how to proceed. I’m trying to avoid the dealers expensive labor cist.
ОтветитьThanks to MERCEDES you can afford all those tools, one would think after spending upwards of $100,000 on a car, the key would at least last you the life of the car.

I live in memphis Tn and actually i do mobil diagnostics but my problem is that i run into a lot key issues wich lead to no start consition... so when i find the issue my job still incomplete because i can do any programing so i have to aend it over to a second o third person... so what places or webs u kno that can be usefull for me so i can be a full diagnostician like u ???? ОтветитьGREAT VIDEO! I HAVE A '98 SLK 230 THAT HAS A SIMILAR CONDITION AND OFTEN WONDERED IF IT WAS THA KEY. IT IS THE SMALL RECTANGULAR FOB WITH THE FOLDING METAL KEY-BAR. I GET MY RED LIGHT WHEN I DEPRESS THE SMALL BUTTON BUT NO DOOR LOCKS AND ABSOLUTELY NO LIGHTS ON THA DASH AND NO CRANK AND NO START....NADA. ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THESE SYSTEMS AND DO U THINK THIS KEY HAS THE SAME ISSUE????? THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS

ОтветитьIt never surprises...businesses that just won't consider the value of a good internet service/connection speed. Either that or they do not set up a decent WiFi set up for their shop. Its not all that expensive nor complicated to have a couple or three WiFi extenders or hot spots wired into their main ISP router to service the garage bays and surrounding parking spaces.
