I went in Naples 5 years ago and it is an amazing city. We stayed in a small pension near from the train station. It definitely worth visiting the city.

I was in the Navy in the 70s and spent a great deal of time in Naples. It has remained in my heart my entire life. Keep in mind it was not safe at all back then. The Spanish Quarter, especially, was incredibly gritty. However, I found those old alleys irresistible . . . It does look very different now. Naples is a working city, warts and all (not just a tourist's fantasy). It boasts an unbeatable setting; a distinct, tenacious, and proud culture; and fantastic food. Da Michele Pizzeria was not mobbed then and I ate there very often. To me, Naples is the world's most iconic seaport. I have been back to Italy a few times but not to Naples yet. I think constantly of spending some quality time there. I found your video very helpful and I love that you appreciate the city the way I do.

I stayed in the Spanish quarter. Note, that it is a labyrinth (especially at night) and your place may be very hard to find.
