was not expecting to resonate with this so much but my heart really feels with you right now... childhood best friends little brother passed away on Christmas eve... he grew up across the street from me and I'd even babysit him sometimes... again I hadn't talked to him in years but it hurts the heart.. and not the same experience as the fires but similar... had a tornado go through my neighborhood & hometown in 2020 and then later had a domestic terrorist attack there the same year. Like you, I and my home were safe (thank God) but it really did hurt and it was hard to mentally recover. At the same time though, the grief we feel for the community is the size of our heart so it's okay to not be okay even though technically we're "ok" because our homes weren't impacted... I thought i'd never be able to mentally recover from those events but it gets better... it takes time, just like it takes time to rebuild, but it does get better ❤so glad to hear fam and home are safe lida ❤

My bad year was this last year 2024 I lost my dad to states for cancer and it happens soon so I know what you’re going through when you lose somebody that you’re close to or that you know. It hurts worse when it’s your parents 10 times more.

Life goes in waves. My life has actually after 7 years finally cleared up pretty well starting this year. But the last few years were awful. You're on a bad wave and it will soon get better again xx
