you could just position the finished sides together to mark the second v cleat ;)

So is it possible to take a pair of shoes such as these (which I think you indicated had a cement bonded sole) and add either a blake stitched sole or attach a welt and create a Goodyear welted sole? Similarly, if they were blake stitched to start with can you go from there to Goodyear welted or does the whole construction of the upper determine what the sole is going forward.

Roughly how much extra life would that vcleat add to the lift of a heel? I just have 2 installed and am wondering.

My Florsheim gunboats have the V cleat installed inside the edge of the heel so it's surrounded on all sides by leather and it's only visible from the bottom. A little more work but probably worth it.
