There could not be a better actress for playing Marie Antoinette than amazing impressive actress Kirsten Dunst

Seen this movie a dozen times & just learned Tom Hardy was in it 😅

Very good actors, but the movie is a failure. Too many things different from reality, without the end of the story

Marie Antoinette showers and is much prettier than that and Kirsten's showers, but not too much, meaning Miss Dunst.❤ Can I go to Shake Shack with a group! I SHOwered killing myself Ms. BENETTON or Anette Bening and Paris showered the beginning of time.

Just saw her in Civil War. Man, if she has aged that much, what does that say about me. 😰Like bro, she can't be the jaded older person, she is my age!

Interesting to watch Dunst play a young, flamboyant and rather naive, albeit charming, figure like M Antoinette and compare this to her current role, some 20 years after, as a middle-aged and world weary war photo journalist in the current film Civil War. Suddenly it seems as though her career as an actress has taken on a clear arc, and everything she's done can be viewed with sharper distinction and clarity. I think Ms. Dunst has now entered what will probably be the most interesting part of her career. I'm really pleased for her because she is damn good.

Fun fact: when they fled from prison, they were so naive that they didn't expect to be recognized in a luxurious carriage filled with Louis' favourite whine at the Austrian border. They got recognized of course and had to go back to jail until they were executed.

Even though it's not historically accurate, I must say I really love this movie.

a boring movie to death

This is one of those rare impressionistic movies ever made. To create imagery, palette, cinematography, movement and minimal dialogue that Sofia did was nothing short of genius and brilliant. Not to mention the accompanying music is tasteful.

Why did they portray this historical peice as an 80s teenage film? Kristen Dunst was a horrible pick as Marie Antoinette and the advertising was garish as heck.

As I watch Marie Antoinette reframed on PBS I think Sophia Coppola would’be happy knowing her film made a cultural impact on how people view the queen. They even had a collage and Kirsten Dunst as Marie was included! Very cool.

This is a classic! Was not a fan of these type of "pop style" old times movies but this one does it extremly well and it is supposed to be only from Maries point of view. How it was to be her. And its done pretty well to represent that the human behavior is exactly the same no matter what time period it is. A teenager is always a teenager etc. Except now, I think this social media age is f ing up humanity forever, lets see how long we last...

Sometimes I think this movie "Marie Antoinette (2006)" was made in the Philippines when I was still very young in the 1970s, and then in the 1980s.

And so they said this movie took a long time to finish. :)
