For whatever reason, the gift after Lettie's birthday was skipped for me, it went straight to the challenge. Wasn't the most interesting gift in there for sure, but still annoying that I can't collect it now.

Still confussing as F. What triggers getting the rewards, doing the challenges, time, rank?

I got to rank 3, finished both the Climax Mission AND the Winter season in under 3 days since release, Got Cyte building in the back too. 💥🔫🧨

You mean the rewards which keep auto claiming the left side reward as a bug for a lot of players?the archon shard and others I was screwed out of choosing? The ticket I've been waiting on for 2 days with 0 response from De? Yeah I wish I could care about the rewards.

they sure are good at creating unintuitive interfaces and not explaining them.

-It's kind of important to mention the overrides only work in 1999.
-The gifts are a waste of credits. it takes 4 days of daily chats + daily bounties to get everyone to liked level which is what you need for the syndicate and quest, and at M34 it takes 6 days of maxing out daily standing cap to get there so you even have quite a bit of room to mess up. If you're impatient to get a relationship you can use them for that one person I guess.
-Always get the combined (violet/emerald/topaz) shards and tauforgeds, but regular basic shards are probably a skip most of the time. After a few weeks of netra/EDA you're gated by Stela, not your basic shard counts.

Pretty sure the "wrench" buffs (overrides) say they last until the end of the calendar year, so that would be a whole month, not just a week.

Calendars has rewards, KIM Messenger has lore and never ever skipped someone's birthday....except if you really hate Quincy. Also after the kiss night, you will lose the Overrides bonuses since it's a "Yearly" reset.

My biggest confusion with this system is how does the game measure days, because sometimes i complete one mission and its atill the same day, then you complete the next mission and suddenly its 2 weeks later on the calendar.

(Edit) Thanks everyone for the replies. The progression makes sense now, I was afraid I would have to micromanage timing to make sure I didn't skip a birthday or archon shards.

Is it really on a weekly reset? when the update released on a friday it said 9 days left until new calendar, perhaps they simply skipped the first reset?

Small thing about the Override buffs: they are for your account, but only in Höllvania. If you go to the Origin System to do missions there (e.g. SP dailies), you will NOT have the buffs.

I love the backroom, but I absolutely hate that completing a mission forces me to load back into Höllvania Central, it takes a solid 20-30 seconds to get back to my hub and that's annoying as fuck

The only 2 problems i have with the backroom is that when you are done with any mission, it takes you to the mall, and you can't tell the system to spawn you as your drifter when you spawn.

I thought the romance was optional...

How to set backrooms as your main base as in we log in and we spawn in there instead of the orbiter

I'm kind of pissed, there was a bug that made me not able to redeem the Emerald Archon Shard, for some reason the game just skipped over that date and went to the next calendar event :/

Out of curiosity, are these calendar challenges supposed to work during Bounties, or not? Because on launch day, they were not. Does anyone know if that was intentional?

Do you have to be a specfic rank to get the gift box? Because mine skipped right over one. Never got the choice of rewards.

Huh I just noticed a mad easter egg, on the calendar, the stars next to the characters are a nice shout back to the energy pickups from the DOS games Descent and Descent 2.

How tf do you get the rewards from the gift boxes? the challenge part is pretty easy to understand, but how do I progress to get the gift boxes?

I would've loved the Zariman Dormizone to be another base of operations like the Backroom in Höllvania, it would be so cool to have the choices of "Home base" !

Just a quick clarification. The wrench buffs last for a month not for the week. I misread it as season instead of the full seasonal cycle <3
