Makes no sense for me… Most of remote workers are freelance workers with no particular working contract.

A yearly income of 60.000 USD? Is that realistic?
As a teacher in Germany working for the state you really earn LOTS OF money. But even I wouldn’t reach the 60.000 with my well paid salary.
So I wonder what kind of work it requires as a freelancer… 🤔
