Can you file for VAWA after 2 years of divorce?

Can I file as man or it’s only for women?

What about if my spouse is the green card holder who physically abused me and verbally abused me in front of our child? She has her permanent card and I’ve done everything I can to keep the peace and haven’t filed anything reports of divorce and I’ve been nothing but supportive. What do I do in this situation to protect my child and myself?
