The description of the car is true, but having grown up in Canada where the manufacturer had a slightly stronger foothold, my Dad having owned three DSs, I have to say there is something more about this car than its eccentricity. The experience of driving in one, even as only a passenger, cannot be equaled by another other car, not even the top luxury brands. The sum of this experience is greater than its parts. It is magical. And that is why the mystique persists.
