Odd question could you explain double planted headlands and have you ever seen double planted headlands?

The field across the road from me is like a bowl when it rains very much it floods , it has a creek that runs through it and it runs out into the canal that runs to the Mississippi River and when we get a lot of rain it looks like a lake, can’t believe the corn is still growing

The microbes are fine. They reproduce so damn fast, even if you kill most of them, they bounce back in no time. It's the worms i wonder about...

How’s the new farm y’all bought and got tiled. I remember it was wet last year and this year should be in bean this year so Phil would have planted it so we didn’t see it.

Keep dreaming about 300 bushel corn. You dont have the right ground to get that. Put your nitrogen on in the spring and you wont have to worry about covering corn with dirt and cornstalks. I have never liked sidedressing after corn is up. Compaction, running corn over, covering corn.

I agree largely with you on mist things. I do however disagree about your statement that in the midwest we don't get as much rain as you do. Specifically in Minnesota, we have varying soil types, but have a lot of heavy soils. Many years we get heavy spring rains and struggle to get the soil dried out. NH3 is fall applied late fall with a stabilizer to keep make it less volatile till ut can be used by the plants.

Hey Nathan in the area we farm I talked to my Deere service techs while they were out fixing stuff for us about if they see many track issues like you had and they have seen a couple. But what they have found is that it has been the right Side tracks every time. They have come to the thoughts that part of the reason that they are seeing those issues is due to farmers running partly on and off the road on the shoulder, leaving part of the track on a completely solid surface and a small amount on the dirt and since it has give in the dirt and possibly not completely solid the tracks are getting pressure put on them and that is causing what they are seeing. The farmers that run on dirt roads or areas they can run right down the middle of the road they haven't seen the problems. This is just their thoughts from our area but could be a reason you got that. Dealing with the public on paved roads is hard, but the more road you can keep it on might help. Just a thought. Easy to say, hard to do right.

Awesome tutorial, you do that well! Thank you, always wondered what the significance of the different types of application were, in Ga I see a lot of Nitrogen tanks at each field and wondered what the difference was.

How many rain machines do you use? I see more pivots in our area, haven’t seen one of these work however with the amt of rain you get this may be the better application?

What are, for you, the reasons why you do not apply fertilizer, at least in part of the overall nutrient load for a crop on your farms via a strip till route?
Afterall you have high quality tractors equipped with similar quality GPS and control systems. Most of your fields seem smooth, pretty flat and a good size and seemingly well suited to this process. Dan

To air that you breath in. That's why we stopped using it. In the south it is very important ingredient in the manufacture of illegal methamphetamine. It was being stolen before we could apply it. We keep In locked buildings with cameras . It did not matter. It got the point that it was not worth it.
