What people dont understand is this. Nate Diaz tapped Connor McNugget. He basically destroyed the myth of Connor but more importantly the Aura Connor had. Alex just did the same thing to Islam. Islam looks human now. Without Khabib yelling instructions to him Islam is rather an average champion. He doesnt have the Fight IQ of Khabib or the "thing". Jon Jones has "the thing". He knows the exact moment in a fight when to put the other man away. He does it to the second. Islam doesnt have that. I look at the entire lightweight division and I see maybe one fighter and thats Justin Gaethje having any real ability to hurt Volk in any capacity. In the welterweight I see two dudes that could hurt Volk and thats Khamzat and Burns. So basically if you look at Flyweight, Bantamweight, Featherweight, Lightweight and Welterweight and the ranked 15 in each division there is 3 blokes I mentioned that maybe beat Volk, maybe even hurt him. So that 3 out of 75 dudes and 30 of them are above his weight class. No doubt our boy from the Gong is P4P champion of the world. Anyone who could do what they did to Max Holloway in that 3rd fight is without doubt the most superior fighter in the world without a shadow of a doubt. I want to see Oliviera and Volkanovski. Alex would pick him apart like a hot chook.
