Agricultural Farming Laser

I like the gauss for pinpoint, but I've been having more luck running with 3 beam and 3 LRM 15's. The lrm's work really well to soften up the enemies while getting into position or cooling off, or even chain firing a volley or two or three while beaming for that cockpit shake.

And I'm not normally an LRM guy.

I've been running mine with 3 LPL and a HAG30...but this is definitely something to try out...18 damage per second just from the beams is a LOT if you can keep it up.

When beam lasers first dropped I picked up this mech and ran this build, but with an ac20 instead of gauss... Loved it

Has anybody tried beam lasers with 6x ERML's? Can they work as a replacement for LPL's or HLL's in the standard Clan laser vomit setup?

Honestly you don't even need the HSL limit -- 3 Beam Lasers have entirely manageable ghost heat and are a real KISS weapon layout. Timby can run it surprisingly well with the ECM, for example. Getting a supplemental weapon requires more tonnage, ofc. I've been wondering about /2 autocannons for screenshake.

Durability-wise, I've found that removing 1 jump jet allows you to move all the heat sinks out of the weak arm and into the torsos, with the extra 2 tons used to max out the leg armor. I'm finding it a good tradeoff. But yes, great build!

Wouldn't the MAD IIC 2 allow for triple beam lasers with its chassis quirks while also being jump capable?
