If you assume Tether survives an audit..., you'd have 2x primary players in the market Circle (MC = ~243B) and Tether (MC = ~240B), not much difference right. So if there is fundamentally strategic value in Ripple acquiring a primary crypto stablecoin platform (and not just grow RLUSD to be as big)..., why not purchase Tether instead? After the audit though..., it would likely be cheaper (to buy) and then Ripple could apply their governance & risk practices to Tether and make it No. #1 stablecoin worldwide...

I have ripple squirrel away but I fail to see how it’s going to jump over night when it’s not a coin, it’s a transfere station for large amounts of money, there are a few of these platforms around but they they make money by charging fee’s, Ripple is dirt cheap. Also it will take time for banks and institutions to build up some trust in XRP thanks to the SEC’s bullshit, we know it was all shit, but shit sticks and it takes a while to get that stain out. So people, hate to burst your bubble but don’t hold your breath, it’s going to be a slow climb up a big mountain, but I don’t doubt it will get there, but when is the big ?????????? . Besides for it to explode it would have to knock the US$ right off the perch and take full control of the existing fiat system and become the new American system backed by gold or its own stocks, somehow I don’t see that happening.
