88 dislikes are Plummer’s 🤣😭
ОтветитьMine leaks around the handle will this work for that as well?
ОтветитьIf it were only this easy! I can't get the hex nut or restraining thing off .
ОтветитьYou left something out because now the water wont turn off from the handle. I tried turning the cartrage around but the water still runs in the off position (as well as on).
Another thing, the problem can be on both hot and cold side at the same time.
In order to fix the water leak start by cutting down the water flow and removing the handle, next find the replacement disks, remove the rubber seals, before removing the rubber seals make sure to clean the scum and debris from seats. Finally, reassemble the cylinder, installing it facing the same direction it did before. However, it is quite complex to repair a leaky faucet yourself, therefore I would recommend to call in a professional like Pro Serve Plumbing who can do the job for you at an affordable cost.
ОтветитьI was sitting there with both waterlines shut off and the faucet was still dripping.
ОтветитьThats awesome it helps a lot
Ответитьi’ll just ask my dad
ОтветитьYeah I wanted to fix this myself but f*** this I'm just going to tell my landlord to fix it
ОтветитьI want to listen to what the person is saying about fixing a leaky tap/faucet.Why is there music playing? Not in the background, but quite loudly so as to distract, very annoying pointless muzak.I dont want to dance as i fix the tap.
ОтветитьDriving me nuts because I can't find a way to get to the valve. No set screws accessible. The one thing that looks like it could be a cover doesn't even have an indent or gap I can get a tiny screwdriver into to pop it off.
ОтветитьThis actually put my mind at ease. Even if I do end up calling a plumber I didn't realize how easy it would be to replace certain parts, and not the entire faucet. Thank you for this.
ОтветитьOh man. I got to the part about pulling the cartridge out. Mine appeared to be that type. I pulled out a piece exposing to weird little hour glass things. What I pulled off seemed to be some kind of plastic cap that looked like the top of the cartridge. At that pint there was nothing I could get to lower. The two little hour glass shaped things moved out of their tracks. I tried to re-align them and put the top plastic piece back on. When I put it back together the tap now turns the wrong way. I re-opened it and messed with those hour glass things again and at least have it back to where the tap turns the right way. I wrenched hard on the nut that held that cap in and seems to have slowed the drip at least.
Ответитьdrip swag like a broken faucet
Ответитьthe biggest problem is that most times the cheap plastic shut off valves wont shut off all the way, and sometimes break at the handle
ОтветитьHow do you twist of the airator ?
ОтветитьTried repairing a leaking faucet on my own with no luck. I just saw what I did wrong. Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks for the free example. Guess I will return the favor and become a customer.
ОтветитьWhat if it still leaks with both supplies off
ОтветитьThis is fine for people with new bathrooms!
ОтветитьDidn't make it past "Use White Vinegar to loosen the aerator" which stripped the finish off the Restoration Hardware Nickel Plated faucet. Now i need to replace everything :(
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!
ОтветитьIt turned out I actually needed to replace the spring and washer underneath the cartridge which this does not cover. Of course that required a second trip to the store so that was a hassle but what do you expect.
ОтветитьGreat idea to tape up the wrench with blue masking tape! Better than using cloth.
ОтветитьDoes this apply to typical kitchen two-handle UK sinks?
ОтветитьNot for nothing but - is this all I have to do ?
ОтветитьMy nut won't unscrew it takes the entire handle with it and tangles the tubes underneath, suggestions? I tried white vinegar, now it's clean at least, lol
Ответитьinstructions unclear,
my faucet now has P, D, 2nd, N, R options.
thank you Lowe's
ОтветитьThanks!!! This is a great video.
ОтветитьI really love that counter top
ОтветитьWhere can I send a video of my faucet in action? I'm not sure if I have to do everything this suggests.
Ответитьhow do you get that plastic cartridge to pull out so easily?
ОтветитьHow about replacing just the rubber o-rings???
ОтветитьI almost broke the medicine cabinet above as it is necessary to pull it directly up.
ОтветитьHow does one go from removing an aerator to the entire faucet handle being gone in the next image? @:44. Thanks so much...
ОтветитьNot pictured: 6 trips to the hardware store for 1.Set of allen wrenches when you have all the wrong sizes 2.WD40 when retaining nut won't come off 3.Adjustable wrench when channel lock wrench won't help to unstick 4. Socket wrench when the adjustable wrench won't help to unstick (better hope you got the right size socket, or back to the hardware store you go!) 5.Vice grips to attempt to remove stuck cartridge 6.Actual replacement cartridge (because you won't know what size you need until you've extracted original). Elapsed time: one week of trips and dinking around. Next time, calling a plumber.
ОтветитьI have a Delta kitchen faucet and got replacement cartridges from Lowes, followed these directions but I am still leaking from my faucet, yikes.
ОтветитьOne of the most helpful DIY video under 3 mins
ОтветитьGreat video. Had no clue what to do ,watched this and fixed it no problem.
ОтветитьI replaced the cartridge and it's still dripping. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьLowe's, you're getting better, back to best, Thank You
ОтветитьI keep replacing my faucet but it keeps dripping after 6 months 😂
ОтветитьI have a Pfister bathroom sink faucet that had a leak out of the hot water side. Before giving in and buying an entire new faucet assembly I found this video and it saved me!!
I have the “cartridge type” and all I had to do was unscrew the handle (the one I have apparently requires no tools and is just unscrewed by the “skirt” under the handle just by hand) and turns out the nut that holds the cartridge valve in was loose. I tightened it and it’s fixed!! Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much
Ответитьgreat vid. thanks. the aerator will unscrew with this.
Ответить1st you need to be able to shut the water off. When it feels like someone welded them
ОтветитьTruth be told, if one side is causing the leak due to mineral buildup/wear etc... replace both sides at the same time otherwise you will be doing this again real soon. 😂
