ОтветитьCould this method of direct transfusion between 2 compatible humans help a person with extreme pneumonia? My grand father its really bad and drugs are not helping, they don't have artificial lungs here, if we do this could I help oxygenate his blood?
ОтветитьI had to take blood transfusion as I was suffering from acute pneumonia, please donate blood and help others to make this world a better place❤❤

ОтветитьWhy didn't you mention Dr. Charles Drew?
ОтветитьIt's hard to believe, but 'modern' Germany during the 2nd World War could only give blood to the wounded with live donors in real time. The western Allies' concept of a blood bank for transfusions was beyond their technology in general...

ОтветитьDoes DNA change when we transfer others blood in someone else's body .? If yes then how ..?
Ответитьif a korean guy transfers his blood to me does that make me korean too?
ОтветитьI am an active blood donor from Finland. And I am proud about it. We don't recive any payments from it. Though there is no need for it anyway. Knowing that your donated blood can help three people in need, makes you very happy. And every new donor gets warm welcome.

These videos always leave out the fact that 'whole blood' itself cannot be transfused. The red blood cells must be separated from the plasma (the liquid part of blood) because the plasma of donor blood will contain antibodies that may attack the antigens on the red blood cells of the recipient if it is not exactly the same type as as the recipient. For example, even though a person with AB+ is considered a "universal recipient" in that he/she can receive any red blood cell type, if that person were to receive 'whole blood' from a type 0 donor whose plasma naturally contains anti-A and anti-B antibodies, then those antibodies would attack the A and B antigens of that AB recipient. The same for a type A or type B recipient. So, in order to avoid this from happening, whole blood goes through a process of separating the red blood cells from the plasma after it is donated. Then the red blood cells and plasma are stored in separate packs for use. So, when you get a blood transfusion, you are only getting the red blood cells without the plasma which contains the antibodies.
ОтветитьNARUTOOOOO
Ответитьif an A type of blood is transfused to an AB type why doesnt the blood begin to clot because of the B anti bodies in his blood
ОтветитьWe owe our lives to these brave people of the past
ОтветитьFirst of all, great video with amazing and informative content, but boy I’m in love with the artworks.

ОтветитьI'm happy that there are Bloodless Medicine and Surgery today, those who underwent Bloodless surgeries only spent less time to recover and have a higher survival rate. ^-^
ОтветитьYou can get transfusion up to 24 hours after death ☠️
ОтветитьI donated blood for the first time yesterday. I'm almost perfectly healthy, so why not? When the time comes I'll register to donate platelets and bone marrow.
ОтветитьI'm sure this video is fascinating but even thinking about blood transfusions causes me intense anxiety. I only got through the first minute before pausing the video.
ОтветитьSepsis?
ОтветитьGot 78 blood transfusions as of today (possibly gonna have more in the future) and i can say that this is accurate
ОтветитьI took a blood test yesterday, was called in 5 hours later into A&E because my haemoglobin was 68 and I was severely anemic, stayed overnight and was given blood in the morning. It was perfectly fine tbh. Don’t be scared if you need one!
ОтветитьMy great aunt just tried to donate blood, but she was disqualified because her hemoglobin levels were too low
ОтветитьYou guys should do one on the history of money.

ОтветитьGreat Video. If a person receives the wrong blood type, their immune system will recognize the mismatched blood cells as foreign invaders and launch an attack, leading to a serious condition called a hemolytic transfusion reaction. This can cause symptoms like fever, chills, difficulty breathing, kidney failure, and even life-threatening complications such as shock or organ damage. The destruction of red blood cells releases harmful substances into the bloodstream, which can overwhelm the kidneys and other organs. This highlights the critical importance of careful blood type matching and crossmatching in medical transfusions. Always double-check compatibility—it’s a matter of life and death!
