Murray sounds like such an insufferable dick. For one thing, he's apparently the reason why Lorenzo Music was replaced as Peter Venkman on The Real Ghostbusters, which is unforgivable.
ОтветитьYes a fan. But their feud was a crap show to us sympathizers.
Ответитьi hear murray is a total db.
ОтветитьIt was their first time at life. I’m grateful for the art they shared.
ОтветитьI feel like this video would be a great idea for a movie one day.
ОтветитьGroundhog Day was worth it lol
ОтветитьCaddyshack. I can't add anything to everything that has been said. Perfection. ❤
ОтветитьI'm a big Bill Murray fan, but the more i read about his behavior, it sounds less eccentric and more self-centered. The whole "not knowing if he's making a movie until the day filming starts" things is wildly selfish
Ответить😢 😭 sadly max rafael waller found via his life's experiences that relationships can abruptly change that is how and why life is too complicated and too complex that is interlinked to life's never ending uncertainties 😮| 4:30 pm Pacific DayLight Savings Time, wednesday, 21 may 2025 😮
ОтветитьI still enjoy Ghostbusters.
ОтветитьBill Murray is a small bitter man who could never get over the fact that he was only good for a laugh and not a leading dramatic actor
ОтветитьI wonder just how many projects they would have had had there been no falling out. They were good together.
Ответитьghostbusters 2 is great, never understood the hate for it
Ответить...I dunno, at least we still got The Real Ghostbusters Seasons 1 and 2 (plus Season 3 onwards eps like "The Grundel") and Extreme Ghostbusters. They're worthy enough sequels, and far better than Ghostbusters 2... and maybe even the Afterlife duology in some ways.
Also, there's the 2009 video game, although which port is better is another can of worms.
Anyways, would like to see a similar vid like this, but about George Lucas' creative control on Star Wars overshadowing his later ex-wife Marcia's and also co-creators like Irvin Kershner, which woefully led to the flawed Prequels (and yes, this should be with the far superior Legends Expanded Universe and the Elseworlds-ish The Clone Wars 2008 in mind) and perhaps even the Sequels.
There were 4 ghostbusters, not 3. You seem to be forgetting about Winston.
ОтветитьI like how you give a quick background then just lock in
ОтветитьThis man’s cadence is awful.
ОтветитьIt's odd, Bill wanted Groundhog Day to be deep and philosophical, Harold wanted it to be a comedy...they both got their wish. It's both of those things.
ОтветитьHey big fan of the channel do you plan on talking about the cancelled crow sequels like the bride, rob zombie crow 2037 and DMX crow lararus in the future
ОтветитьThe two men were in three movies I liked!
ОтветитьLiked, Commented and shared.
Oh and subscribe hopefully this one blows up for you my Dude.
I wonder how celebrities feel knowing people creepily chronicle their lives and make wild assumptions about their personal life based on small titbits of info they give to the media. They probably just laugh at the ignorance and arrogance of it all.
Ответитьghostbusters 2 is terrible
ОтветитьSo Murray has always been the problem.
ОтветитьClassic, but only in the “modern sense!”
ОтветитьMurray is known in Hollywood to be extremely difficult to work with
ОтветитьI ❤ GHOSTBUSTERS 2
ОтветитьRecreating Harold Ramis with cg for some shite legacy sequel is one of the most offensive and poor-taste things I've ever seen in my life.
ОтветитьEver since I first saw CARRY ON SERGEANT (1958), I've felt that STRIPES was an American remake of it, with Warren Oates in the William Hartnell role as the retiring drill sergeant stuck with a crew of misfit recruits. This would not be the only time Ivan Reitman would do this! Several people have told me Reitman's DAVE is very similar to LELICEK IN THE SERVICES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES (1932). This made perfect sense, when I learned Reitman was BORN in The Czech Republic, so he almost had to be aware of the CZECH film when growing up. Both involve a lookalike taking over for the head of a small country, who proves more competent at the job than the people they're replacing. (LELICEK is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen-- and it's in Czech with English subtitles!)
I keep thinking it would be cool to watch these films as a pair of double-features.
👍
ОтветитьIf I remember right, it was Bill Murray's older brother Brian Doyle Murray, who also had a long-time working relationship with Ramis, for Bill to go see his friend before he passed away. And I ALSO think that's why Bill played Dr. Peter Venkman in the last two "Ghostbusters" movies. In "Afterlife" it was a way for Bill to pay his respects to Harold Ramis. And "Frozen Empire" for Bill to pay his respects to Ivan Reitman. Because it was BOTH Harold and Ivan who worked on Bill's first movie "Meatballs."
ОтветитьComedians wanting to be taken seriously at the last minute in a comedy has destroyed many careers and many movies.
ОтветитьI didn't know there was a beef between them, but I'm really happy they made up before Ramis' passing.
ОтветитьThis video gave me goosebumps — not from fear, but from truth.
Ответить“Venkman, shorten your stream, i don’t want my face burned off.” Life imitating Art, perchance? 🤣
ОтветитьWow, Caddyshack is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, this explains a lot.
ОтветитьA movie could and should be made about the relationship between these two. Till then, at least we have this awesome episode of B&B.
ОтветитьActually, Ghostbusters 2 got better reviews from oldschool film critics cause the comedy was more broad.
ОтветитьBill Murray with a mustache, ain't that something!
ОтветитьThis was All because MURRAY WAS AND IS AN IMMATURE NASTY LITTLE INSECURE BULLY
ОтветитьWould the Ghostbusters Video Game count as their last project they worked together on?
ОтветитьThey made such great stuff. Hard to imagine what that rift must have felt like. Iconic films from my childhood that they were both a part of.
ОтветитьYour videos are always insightful, thought provoking and I leave learning something I didn’t know about before. Thank you for putting out quality in every upload
ОтветитьIt seems like Murray wanted to be a serious actor more than a comedic one. But since he was only really known as a comedian that's all anyone wanted to see him do, so it might have made him kind of bitter I think. It could explain why he was so cranky and would never fully commit to some of these comedy movies he would get cast in. It's like he was hoping a more serious dramatic role would come along in the meantime and he didn't want to already be committed to another movie. It's like being Jackie Chan. No one really wants to see him do drama, they only want to see him in martial arts roles.
ОтветитьShocker that Bill was pissy with someone else
ОтветитьAlthough I've been watching your channel for a while now, I was really chuffed to discover a Bill Murray movie I'd never heard of from this particular video. I really enjoyed learning more about Ramis' and Murray's relationship, was happy to hear they made up in the (or before the) end, but was most of all excited and amazed to find out there's a movie from my childhood that I missed and can go back watch for the first time. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhy did this happen? Bill Murray is friends with a guy who has a daughter, but the daughter isn't his. It's Harold Ramis. This is what broke down their relationship. Ramis getting a woman pregnant, have a daughter with her, but that daughter thinking that woman's husband was actually her dad.
