ОтветитьYes, I know this is an older video. I'm currently just getting into this. At first just to see if I could do it. Secondly, My Pawpaw was a sailor and had all different size monkey fist all around his lake house. One was at least the size of a bowling ball. I think he made them just keep from being bored at times. Anyway, I lost him way to early. He drowned while at port in New Orleans. His "captain" ordered him to try to unfoul one of the props. He didn't want to wait for the company divers and it cost my Pawpaw his life. This was back in the 70's. Things were a bit different back then. He was a major part of my life and my childhood took a serious nose dive after his death.
Sorry, Got a bit off track there. Needless to say, I wasn't able to grasp how to make those while he was alive. About a year or so back my wife found someone that said he could make me one. Which he did, sorta. It's really loose and needs some work. But I was extremely excited to receive it. The wife is just great that way. Well, a week ago I made my first monkey fist and it turned out really good.
But more importantly, I found that making it was really relaxing, yet very focusing. It's hard to explain tbh.
But I do really enjoy the mood and music you use in these videos! So in closing, I really want to thank you for all your time and effort you put into these. Although you don't know my story, it's a rather sad one. But in the past week and a half learning how to do this from your videos has become.......well.....therapy. Which I've been in desperate need of. Something to keep my hands and mind busy.
So again, Thank You Sir!!! This is greatly appreciated!!!
My apologies for any typing errors. I'm a disabled mechanic, not a typist. 😁🤠
❤❤❤😊
ОтветитьHello, I really appreciate this video. I was wondering, what kind of video camera and mount are you using? I really like the zoom/refocus feature. Thanks.
