mrsimon - fiji fantasies (mv)

like your whole life has been building towards something


fiji fantasies is a mix produced by the grossly underrated music producer mrsimon (aka si mcclure) way back in 2010. as a kid, i used to listen to his music all the time, and this was one of my favourites. in 2018 he remastered it, and now it sounds better than ever.

it wasn't lacking a music video - other people have given a shot at this and they've done really well with it. i still felt like i had to do this justice though since i had tried to make an mv for this many times when i was younger and the edits just never came out quite right. and as far as i'm aware, this is no mv for the 2018 remaster. i guess there is now.

so, i revived my old project during the first lockdown, meaning i made this about half a year ago. it felt just right this time, but i thought i'd let it settle for a while and see if i still liked it later. i still do, i think. i kept it simple and straightforward, but still moving quickly to the cuts of the song. i hope you like it too.
