Same with kids and everything else, there’s never a hundred percent chance for safety. It doesn’t exist. ❤
ОтветитьBeautiful life for you guys, im sobglad dad is doing quire ok. Dan you are the best. ❤
ОтветитьDan lives Sweet Pea😂
ОтветитьTo err is human. That is why it is an accident. I am glad dad is ok ❤.
ОтветитьAs kids my dad a md had a medical library. That’s what we spent our time reading together with paleontology, science books etc. he ended up with 5 lawyers (1 md too) and sister as cpa. Watching Ed read reminds me of those days.
ОтветитьIt's crazy how everything can turn around in a split second. Ed is right, Dan. It wasn't your fault, although i know you'll blame yourself. Just breaks my heart knowing Ed doesn't understand why things happen 💔
ОтветитьPlease Ask Ed why he chose to be a foot doctor 🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶
ОтветитьI love all of Ed's fun t-shirts! He is an absolute delight😊
Ответитьlove the cats do you know if a cat bites you thats how they show affection/ my cat bites me and draws blood i was told thats how they show there love and affection towards the victim[person] i have tried to show my cat no but it never sinks in,its just habit,
ОтветитьThank goodness your dad didn't hurt himself.
ОтветитьDanielle is smokin hot, ain’t no pooch there
ОтветитьWhere is the professional support system to keep him safe and out of the hospital.
I just went through all of this as well. Thank god he did not break a rib.
That is very painful. He cold as well.
Low iron will make us cold. Time for professional help in the home.
Each time an elderly person goes to the hospital the IV fluids damages the kidney function and the iron becomes low. There should be a CNA in the home all the time please.
I understand your scare, but you do a good job taking care of him. My grandfather had to go to a nursing home when Mom could no longer care for him. He had a safety belt on and although he was Dr. Ed's size, he managed to somehow slide under the belt and when the aide came in discovered he had accidentally hung himself up on the belt, a tragedy that still hits home 35 years later. 😢
ОтветитьNot all cats are like that. You're so lucky to have found each other.
ОтветитьIf I get dementia, I’d like my family to hang this wish list up on the wall where I live. I want them to remember these things.
1a. Every time you enter the room announce yourself. “Hi Mom- it’s Margaret.”
NEVER ask- Do you know who I am??? That causes anxiety.
1. If I get dementia, I want my friends and family to embrace my reality.
2. If I think my spouse is still alive, or if I think we’re visiting my parents for dinner, let me believe those things. I’ll be much happier for it.
3. If I get dementia, don’t argue with me about what is true for me versus what is true for you.
4. If I get dementia, and I am not sure who you are, do not take it personally. My timeline is confusing to me.
5. If I get dementia, and can no longer use utensils, do not start feeding me. Instead, switch me to a finger-food diet, and see if I can still feed myself.
6. If I get dementia, and I am sad or anxious, hold my hand and listen. Do not tell me that my feelings are unfounded.
7. If I get dementia, I don’t want to be treated like a child. Talk to me like the adult that I am.
8. If I get dementia, I still want to enjoy the things that I’ve always enjoyed. Help me find a way to exercise, read, and visit with friends.
9. If I get dementia, ask me to tell you a story from my past.
10. If I get dementia, and I become agitated, take the time to figure out what is bothering me.
11. If I get dementia, treat me the way that you would want to be treated.
12. If I get dementia, make sure that there are plenty of snacks for me in the house. Even now if I don’t eat I get angry, and if I have dementia, I may have trouble explaining what I need.
13. If I get dementia, don’t talk about me as if I’m not in the room.
14. If I get dementia, don’t feel guilty if you cannot care for me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s not your fault, and you’ve done your best. Find someone who can help you, or choose a great new place for me to live.
15. If I get dementia, and I live in a dementia care community, please visit me often.
16. If I get dementia, don’t act frustrated if I mix up names, events, or places. Take a deep breath. It’s not my fault.
17. If I get dementia, make sure I always have my favorite music playing within earshot.
18. If I get dementia, and I like to pick up items and carry them around, help me return those items to their original place.
19. If I get dementia, don’t exclude me from parties and family gatherings.
20. If I get dementia, know that I still like receiving hugs or handshakes.
21. If I get dementia, remember that I am still the person you know and love.”

As a caregiver myself, we try our best but there are times where we aren't as close and things can happen. Prayers ❤
ОтветитьThe kittens are so cute, such love bugs!
ОтветитьOh my goodness, so sorry, so glad he’s ok.
ОтветитьI have a 4 year old granddaughter named Millee. I have called her Mills since she was born. Its kinda cool that it's not just me that has a little Mills to love ❤ Mine is prettier and smarter, though....ha

ОтветитьHow many animals do you guys have??
ОтветитьI just love those little kitties. I’m glad they have a good home so many do not and I’m glad grandpa is doing so good.
ОтветитьGood to see Pops up and going and safe from fall. And those kittys are adorable, I wish my grand kitties would be more loving. They’re so independent! Thank you for sharing your day with us.
Ответитьwe love you buddy, im doing the same exact thing with my dad to,

Dan you have become the cat tree! 🎉😹😸🎉
ОтветитьRegardless you are doing a great job looking after Ed. Glad he is doing so well. God's blessing to you all. ❤️🙏
ОтветитьI saw that beautiful pool and wondered if your dad is able to swim in it. Not sure if it would be dangerous or even possible to navigate the steps to get in and out. Please don't beat yourself up about his fall. You and your family are wonderful caregivers.
ОтветитьDan please be kind to yourself, we are human and we make mistakes. I’m glad dad is ok and in a good place. You are a wonderful son. ❤
ОтветитьThat kitten is the cutest 🐾
Ответитьif we're gonna be showing feet, can they at least be Daniels?
ОтветитьGlad Ed is feeling better!!!
ОтветитьThat was a great video
Ed as a Doc
Flirting with Danielle
The reminder of how a caregivers job never stops & that Ed loves that cereal.
Good morning Ed and Dan from Canada 🇨🇦
ОтветитьL
ОтветитьThose kittens are too cute!!!!
ОтветитьIt’s completely understandable why you feel bad but try not to be too hard on yourself. You do so much & trying to be a carer for someone you love & deal with the rest of what life throws t you is a lot. You can’t remember to do everything right all the time.
ОтветитьWe thank Almighty God for His life
We love you for taking good care of your Dad
Doings an amazing job, Dan! 🎉
ОтветитьThink he just doesn't want to miss anything . That's a GREAT sign.
Dan- why does Danielle do the housework (picking up your Ganja induced pig outs in the kitchen & your floss all over the bathroom) cleans up after the strays you & your Don bring home, put furniture together, pulls up the carpet on the stairs, put the backporch furniture together AND also cleans the yard, does all the yard work, cleans the pool, etc...etc..etc???
Shouldn't a TON of that 💩 be YOUR job????
At the VERY least picking up after your D-man self?
You no longer work- NO excuses!!!
I'd think you'd be embarrassed at some point. SMDH.
You do GREAT with Ed, but gotta do MUCH better for your wife!!! ✌
Ed doesn't blame you Dan & neither do we. Things happen unfortunately 😔
Telling the Cat to " shut up" just didn't think that was cool
ОтветитьBeautiful home❤
ОтветитьThey are beautiful❤
ОтветитьGlad your dad is ok, your doing an amazing job Dan and Danielle, I can only imagine how hectic and tough it gets sometimes.. Things happen, You can tell he appreciates having you both around
ОтветитьI love a house full of animals and those kitties are gorgeous!💕
ОтветитьLove Dr Ed. He’s the sweetest. He’s lucky to have such good care. ❤
ОтветитьAwe, go ED!😹😹😹😹
ОтветитьGood morning there❤❤NZ IS IN WINTER MODE...THZNK YOU POP❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьHey Dan! Pops is ok, u are doing a great job taking care of him. That was just a mistake and we all make mistakes. I know it’s hard I’m care giver too, I care for my mom. I make mistakes too, but it’s ok. We will be just fine.
