US judges tend to score on pressure. They ignore number if scoring punches. Defense has long been dropped everwhere. You have to fight to what the judges like ot be insanely better. Sad but it is not going to change.
ОтветитьI think haney won was landing bodyshots all night but it was very close.loma could of took him out in the 11th
ОтветитьHaney win end of. Keep crying guys unsubscribed
ОтветитьHaney won for me, I felt Loma had the more decisive round win towards the end but from R1-9 I felt Devin won most and then R12. I think people too high on Loma. It was a close fight but no robbery. Vasily comes across as entitled, he will fight a bit and won’t work the last 30 seconds of each round.
ОтветитьI had the fight 115-114 - Loma
(6rds - Loma, 5rds - Haney, 1rd - 10/10)
Devin winning the fight isn't a robbery, but the 116-112 scorecard was abysmal.
Usyk‘s promoter Krasyuk had it 115-113 for Haney.
ОтветитьMy main man Chris
Im confused, i thought Haney won 7-5
That 10 round was a robbery
Ooooooh….. I’m not convinced Haney win that. 🤷🏾♂️ Haney used the sweeping right hands to cut off the turn. But Loma set so many traps, constantly doubling the 2-1. The judges saw something else in those mid rounds. 114-114 would have kept any egregiousness out if it.
ОтветитьI had it a draw so 2 rds either way is a fair result
Ответить8-4 Haney for me... Haney invested in the body well, Loma popping shots in spurts as though he was the champion defending belts.
The body shots won that fight, they were consistent in every round
Kovalev, Golovkin, Korobov and Lomachenko all robbed in "the land of the free".
ОтветитьChris if Loma was the same size as the rest of them he wouldn't be as agile. Important to put size in perspective.
Ответитьround 1 I had for Haney . Loma did not land a punch in that round . However Loma maybe edged the fight by a round but it was really close ... Also some people don't count the body shots which really affected Loma . After watching few of his last fights now ,I can say Loma does not like it to the body at all. If Haney was a puncher like Tank I think Loma would have had very hard night .
ОтветитьI wanted Loma to win but honestly watching it live I did not see a clear winner. The first 6 were 4 - 2 either way or 3 - 3 depending on what you like. Haney was landing a lot of body shots or so it seemed on tv. Loma was having his moment but no one was having it his way completely. The biggest issue for me was that Loma would have some very strong 30 seconds in almost every round where it seemed he is taking the initiative and the he took a step back and started moving around leaving Haney to work in the remaining two minutes. Not much effective but enough to make the round even depending on what you like. And Loma rarely finished a round strong leaving it up to the perception of the judges.
Except the 11th where he seemed to hurt Haney he was landing but didn't get the impression that he is getting momentum and taking over. What surprised me was that Loma threw 100 punches more in total - watching it live it didn't seem to me that way. Maybe they concentrated in smaller timespan in the round as I said leaving the overall impression of even rounds.
Not sure what next for either guy - Loma seems to have lost a bit of stamina. Not something drastic but he is 35. Not sure he would be interested in fighting guys like Maxi Hughes or even Kambosos or Zepada. He wants the very best leaving Tank and Shakur. Tank is about business and with another promotion so this is not happening. Shakur might fight for a belt next so not this either.
Haney should move to 140 - I think he has better chance against guys like Prograis, Taylor, Lopez, Garcia, Rolly than against Shakur or Tank. We have to see how he is at 140 but I think this is his limit - 147 seems a bit too much. Even if he moves up to 147 in a couple years time I don't think he would be very effective. If he had such a close fight with a guy who is realistically a 126 - 130 guy I don't see him hanging with someone like Crawford, Spence, Ennis, Thurmann. When Loma fought an elite guy in Rigo who was moving up 2 weight classes we remember what happened.
Great fight. If Loma wins the 12th I don't see how he loses the fight, but some of those rounds were close. Incredible performance at 35 against a much bigger guy.
ОтветитьWhat a class fight. It was very competitive all the way, but I can't find Haney winning more than he lost, the fact that one judge had the 10th for Haney says a lot, it says that despite the result, some judges need to go, they are literally steeling from fighters.
I did like your "Mates" question after, Kim asked "Are some judges entrenched, is it time for a new younger bunch?"
8-4 to Loma for me, I just can't see him losing more than he won, I can't see🇬🇧👊🏻
Loma bossed that fight. Always disliked Haney since he accepted his first world title via email. Now i cannot stand the guy. So boring and predictable. Just wants to jab and run spoiling the fight. Never wins by stoppage. He will move up to 140 now to avoid shakur.
ОтветитьGreat review brother!
I respectfully disagree though…
Haney won 115 - 113 on my card but Lomachenko showed what a warrior he is in those later rounds! 💪
As a fan of both men I think the right man won, definitely no robbery in my eyes.
I scored it 7-5 to Haney. There were several close swing rounds so I can honestly see it being a draw or 7-5 to Loma. I don't see it as a robbery because it was a close fight. I can't agree with 8-4 to Haney though.
ОтветитьLoma won clearly - not by much -but clearly and when I heard 116-112 I thought "stitch up" because that score was not applicable in either direction. 115-113 Lomachenko was the score. One more like this and I'm through with this sport. What is the point of it all if some bribed and biased nonsense stops the winner winning? As bad as Catterall vs Taylor. Stevenson and Davis are easily beating Haney.
ОтветитьI had it 7-5 Loma as well. But admittedly, I wasn't glued to each second of each round. Not mad they gave the nod to the current undisputed champ since it was so close imo. I would say robbery if I thought Loma won 8 or more rounds
ОтветитьLoma is overrated. Arum and atlas said he is the greatest since ali, but i dont see any dominance like duran, hagler and many others had. He is well overrated. Lopez, Salido and linares are no where near the vest of their generation and the gave a prime loma all he could handle.
ОтветитьI scored it 115-113 for haney this was a very close and competitive fight
ОтветитьI watched it twice now. AMAZING fight! Super close. I had haney by 1 or two rounds. So basically the two scores we saw from judges (115-113 and 116-112).
Round 10 and 11 was lomas clearest and dominant round in my opinion. Loma REALLY dominated. I expected loma to really go hard in the 12th but Devin won that round and dominated most of the round.
Again what a fight. I knew it was going to be close and a hard fight for both.
If it was a draw or a loma win I wouldn’t be complaining.
I will add that devin’s body work probably went unnoticed by many.
When you watch it again I advice you mute the volume. The commentary and crowd was so biased.
For me what’s sad is people won’t give dev the respect and credit for such a great fight.
Thanks for the breakdown, man!
Personally, I was quite disappointed w Loma, and now felt the signs of decline were strong- mainly in difficulty pulling the trigger, and just generally working v much, or sustaining attacks, when he had significant success!!
Perhaps Haney’s impressive bodywork was more responsible for that, but overall gut feeling-no pun intended!- was not…they would have contributed, but not been the main cause, I don’t think
Either way, I was conversely pretty impressed by Haney, who did level up for me (albeit somewhat controversially, w the earlier weigh in window possibly being critical to that, and showing he truly has outgrown this weight really, suffocating his true capacity in the process!)
Regardless of if this was a robbery or not lets praise how great this fight was and how it lived up to the hype. Haney showed a solid chin where others would have easily gone down. Lets kill this father time agenda for loma, now people will respect his name more. Tank loma next? Loma deserves a final big pay day
ОтветитьDEVIN MORETTI...HANEY'S REAL DADDY😂
ОтветитьI had I 8-4 the 1st time I watched it the 2nd time I gave 1 of the round I had as a swing to Devin so 7-5.
Yes Devin landed some nice body shots but it wasn’t enough to win the fight.
Loma was snapping Devin’s head back a lot of times with nice clean shots landing the full glove 🥊 on his face.
Loma controlled more of the rounds then Devin did. Loma was making Devin miss a lot more shots then Devin made Loma miss also.
Loma hurt Devin a lot more then Devin hurt Loma it looked like he was going to stop him in the 11th . That upper cut Loma landed in the 11th lifted Devin upwards, it had him hurt.
I don’t think Devin even deserved a draw to be totally honest.
He will get stopped by Tank 💯 % how easy he gets hit, and how he can’t take a big shot well. Shakur & Ortiz both will beat Devin there younger faster then Loma.
I had 7-5 for Loma. Morretti is a disgrace and should be fired. It has been a long time since we boxing fans have had the pleasure of this sort of talent on display against each other.
ОтветитьYall salty loma didn't win ........ He was supposed to knock haney out to win but it was a fight and loma had spurts of dominance but it wasn't enough. Hope those who bet won that money. Nice 2k for me 😂
ОтветитьI had it 7-5 Haney. I think the 4th round was swing round and gave that to Haney and the first to haney too. Going into the 12th I had it 6-6. And gave the last round to Haney. I can see why people are saying Loma won or even a draw. I think the referee did a great job, haney’s bodywork was great and Loma landed great shots too and I heavily disagree with it being a unanimous decision win to Haney. But I don’t think it was a robbery. I could see the outcome going anyway, being a draw, Loma win or Haney win. A great night for boxing in terms of a fight not so much the judges😬.
ОтветитьCongratulations to Devin Haney. No need for conspiracies, Devin clearly won 7-5 and can't be trusted as he wanted Loma to win for easy path.
ОтветитьI had it 7-5 Haney, thought his body shots were really effective and was definitely doing damage as we saw in round 12. But Loma began to evade those body shots and hit Haney with clean shots. I must say that although Loma did have some success with his flurries I do believe many of them were not scoring shots. I think the story of this fight was Loma hit Haney with cleaner shots but Haney did still have scoring shots, just not as definitive. On a side note I was really disappointed with the commentary, they seemed very pro Loma and I think that is why many people feel Loma "clearly won".
ОтветитьMy mate says anyone who doesn't think Loma is one of the greats, doesn't know boxing. Just passing it on.
ОтветитьESPN commentary was disgraceful imo. They massively favoured loma and ignored the good work that Haney was doing. I thought the fight was super close and could have gone either way but it definitely wasn’t a robbery. I hope Haney runs it back to stop the controversial takes
Ответить6-6 draw for me that’s why it’s a robbery. Haney didn’t win more rounds then him. Loma needed to ko
Haney to win
Also Haney is dirty.
ОтветитьJust because loma survived and made it a good fight yall think he won . But most of yall are delusional so i get it
ОтветитьHad it a draw. I honestly feel judge Moretti hurt Haney by giving him the 10th. Now everyone will hang on to that to discredit him as a champion. Give Loma back round 10 deservedly and his card is in line with the other judges. Haney vs Shakur is a lot more competitive than people think. Might play out in similar fashion
ОтветитьDidn’t score it but had the fight a 7-5 type fight that Loma had just won. I felt winning 10-11 gave him the edge but Haney had a great 12th!
Ebbed and flowed and was a technical battle. One I ll watch again
I have this fight 8-4 for Loma, lifted Haney off his feet in round ten and landed a 7 punch combo.
ОтветитьI had it Loma 7-5. The 12th round could have gone either way and possibly made it a draw. Haney did not win though
ОтветитьI'm done paying for boxing to be ripped off... I'm gonna be a thief now. I'll spend my money elsewhere
ОтветитьGreat breakdown Chris, I had the 7-5 Loma also , but gave 1,2,5.7,9,10 and the 11th, but the rounds were very close , no one should cry robbery , was a great fight .
ОтветитьWell called sir. These clowns need to subscribe to your channel or better yet fired and replaced with you. Gutted for Loma but anyone with 2 eyes and a brain can see how won. Tremendous!
ОтветитьLoma 8-4 or 7-5. Maybe a draw but Haney didn't win
ОтветитьI had it 116-112 for Haney, I gave Loma rds 3, 8, 10, 11. I think Devin won a lot of close rounds in rds 4-7 based off activity, the replays of exchanges would show Loma not landing completely flush and Devin landing a lot of body solid body shots. In between those exchanges Devin was just more active landing jabs and body punches. I could see Loma getting rd 6 so an alternate 115-113 or maybe giving him rd 2 (resulting in a tie). So I don't think that Loma was robbed per say but if someone told me that Loma should have won I wouldn't agree with them but I also wouldn't call them crazy. The important thing to remember is that Devin edging out a rd is worth just as many points as a dominating rd and in this case Loma had more dominating rds but throughout the course of the fight Devin won most rds even if not in a dominating fashion
ОтветитьCome on Chris, I know he's orthodox church but the bias is unjustified... Like what are you talking about if Loma was bigger he'd school all of them?
Allow me to give you some glasses for perspective... Nakatani is bigger than Haney and Teofimo, Loma had no problem.
Linares and Commey are not only bigger than Haney but actually filled out into their man strength, Haney hasn't yet he's 24...
What completely debunks your fallacy is the fact that skills pay the bills.... If it didn't Joshua would have beat Usyk.
Canelo was 11 years younger than Floyd, but came in at 174lbs against Floyd's 146. Did Canelo not get taught a boxing lesson?
Why didn't Loma use his alleged supreme matrix skills to give Haney a boxing lesson? Instead dude ate bodyshots all night long with no defence against it...
Time to take of the bias nostalgic glasses and actually use reason, because this is actually sad.
