As far as I know, n.flying is a rock band that debuted in 2013.

Bands are very popular in Korea, I'm sure n.flying is also popular in Korea. I know that Day6 (rock band) is the 2nd most listened to artist in Korea. But unfortunately, Korean bands are not popular globally.

N.Flying debut officially in korea in 2015, but hweseung joins the group in 2017. He did go to military early before debut around 2014-2015.
Yes, they're a band and so not really known in the kpop listeners especially internationally. But in korea they are a bit known by general public. And Hwe seung is also known as a vocalist in the industry because he has performed a lot in popular shows like Immortal songs and king of masked singers and actually won on both shows. His 6 step high note in Still Love You is also kind of become iconic to him 😅

they technically don't know each other personally. since they're in the same industry, they've heard of each other as they've said both are famous for their vocals. Hwe Seung also worked with Suho in a musical before & he have casually mentioned Chen as a member who loves to sing. both expressed that they would love to do a collab in the future. i just hope they do it soon!

Hwe seung is from N Flying a k rock band. If you haven't checked them out, i would recommend it. Their music is great. Hwe seung's vocals are amazing in general. Like others said N Flying isnt as popular internationally since k bands arent as well known internstionally but i enjoy them.

Because N-flying is a rock band, unlike other kpop groups, they didn't train with EXO's songs, cover them, or challenges. Groups that debuted after EXO definitely know, or at least can guess, EXO's main vocalists' voices. Also, Koreans tend to listen to K-bands, K-rap, and K-rnb more. Kpop groups are definitely famous, but among the young demographic. Kpop definitely gets more international attention.

N.Flying is a Korean band like Day6, they're not K-Pop. ❤

I like this duet, I’ve been an EXOL for so long, but I also know NFlying for many years. Chen and Hweseung are incredible singers. But it is true, Hweseung really did his military many years ago, if I remember correctly, it was before debut like around 18-20 years old (could be wrong abt the year but he def did it early). 😂🤍🤍🤍😁

Aww guysss thankyouuu so much for this reaction. Plz checkout Baekhyun's live performance for Truth be told, Cold heart(with a live band and it was amazing) Psycho live which was mind blowing. Also kai's sinner, nothing on me, Reason live from his recent Concert. His concert was so cool. Just for some info Baekhyun(cbx) are not allowed to use Exo name or songs in their events. Last year he opened his concert with Exo's diamond. No Exo slogan. So he did just "L" sign in photoession also He wrote "EXO" with Light stick on the 2nd day bcz no exo member was there. Except DO on the first day(as DO is not under SM at all even as a group) In that song Baekhyun controls the fans lights with his LS movement. So this time he wrote exo. Fans got so emotional.

You are right, chen has a contemporary style and i feel like he sounds so much like western singers when he changes his tones and his vowel sounds are chef's kiss. I wish he does more fun songs. As Chen said that He could feel that Hwe seung was supporting him in harmony etc. This was heart warming. One of the vocal coaches and analyst said that Chen has very good Understanding and hearing for notes(like sounds)it was when he saw A video where chen could differentiate between the notes for baekhyun and Xiumin in a challenge during their almost rookie era. that is the reason he could feel that hwe seung is supporting him and also seems experienced in duets.

this is the first episode of secret duet, they really set the high standard

All EXO members have recognizable voices in their songs—maybe it's because I mostly listen to EXO, so my ears are used to it. But among the vocalists, I think Baekhyun and Chen are the most instantly recognizable.
D.O.’s voice might not be as instantly recognizable as Baekhyun’s or Chen’s, but it has a special calmness and emotional depth that sets it apart. It’s strong, rich, and full of feeling, yet blends so naturally with the other voices. His technique, emotional delivery, and phrasing are very controlled and refined.
Also, I believe Suho should be considered one of EXO’s main vocalists too—his vocal strength and tone are truly exceptional.
