goodmorning to you Roger. please can you explain how to use a fish hook extractor? i just hate it when i must dispose of a fish due to the hook bieng swallowed to deep!
Ответитьwe call them parore in New Zealand. great fish to target and such fun to target with light tackle.
Ответитьroger,im amazed as to how clean the waters seem to be in australia. here in kzn natal south africa, our waters in easturies tends to be very dirty almost all of the time. i dont risk dirty water, due to bull sharks feeding the channels as the tide comes in. this limits available areas to fish.
Ответитьplease can you do more videos on fishing varios species of fish in eastury or harbour enviroments??
ОтветитьRoger you content is brilliant, thank you!!
ОтветитьRoger:"What do you feel like for dinner tonight, Darl?". Mrs Roger:" Some luderick might be nice..." Roger: "Ok". A couple of hours later... dinner.
ОтветитьRoger, another top video. I haven't fished for luderick for 40 years when the snapper bug hit me. We used to use an Alvey centrepin reel loaded with 6lb mono and a whippy 10' 6" rod. The mono was smeared with vaseline to make it float. We used to mix the weed with sand and chuck it out as berley
I didn't know you were a sports fan as Mornay is a South African fast bowler and FitzPatrick played for the Wests Tigers.
Put on some waders!!!
f
Should we burly and with what. You have burlied with bread off the rocks in the past. Is it the same in the estuary
ОтветитьWhere are you please
ОтветитьI could see the luderick saying "please help mee" oh well, just a turd in the dunny now 😂
ОтветитьBuril lake il be there October
ОтветитьNice video Roger! Do you have any experience with catching kingfish?
ОтветитьSorry maybe someone asked this earlier, but can anyone tell me where this location is?
ОтветитьMost of them in the rivers at this time of the year will eat cabbage because there fish that are coming in from out side to spawn and there used to eating it. But yer in the summer time they will want string weed. But hay I reckon go catch a flathead or few whiting and leave they filthy blackfish there🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьGreat tutorial Roger ! Have you ever fished for luderick up where the channel drops into the lake ? on the north side there is a hole that i spotted a heap of luderick in but didn't have bait or gear for them. That lagoon always reminded me of Narrabeen lagoon and i always looked forward to fishing there when i had my van down near there .
You didn't mention how good they are on the plate ! Bleed , fillet and skin - magnificent !
Love your vids mate.
Ответитьthey look like pest perch to me.
ОтветитьThanks Roger, great tip using pliers for shot.
Won’t use my teeth anymore ;)
Thanks
ОтветитьExcellent video, I've noticed that you hold your rod with your right hand, with the reel handle on the right, can't you change the reel handle to the left , which is what we do here in england.
ОтветитьI use sheet lead so you can shave off lead to get perfect byocy rog
ОтветитьDon't spoil oysters with Mornay rog
ОтветитьRoger, why not use small circle hooks thus avoiding most of the issues with needing to set the hook.
ОтветитьLoved the video thanks Roger. It's so cool to see you fishing for species I chase and in places I fish. The luderick bug bit me a few years ago and I went down the centre pin path. So much fun. Hope to see you on the water one day.
ОтветитьRoger honestly me and my father love watching you 😊
You fish very much like us very simple and pleasurable fishing in beautiful locations
Sadly we are from the uk and are limited really with only bass and mullet for good fun
But anyway god bless you and your family
Keep doing what your doing you will never know how much calmness you bring to people
This is the Most Annoying Video you have Ever Posted. Non stop talking and no real fishing and you kept REPEATING YOURSELF. I’m unsubscribing. 37 minutes off non stop talking and a couple of minutes of actual fishing . From a Aitutaki Cook Islander My ears are Ringing and that’s the Truth
ОтветитьI lived in narrabeen for years I fished for bream and flathead there never seen u on the lake u must have fished the channel up the front I mainly fished pipe clay point and on the parkway for bream on surface lures
ОтветитьHi roger, I have tried using your exact set up I find side casting often results in my leader getting tangled with my float as soon as I cast it at maybe 50% of the time. Would love if you'd go into more detail around casting techniques in your next video!
ОтветитьWhat moon were u fishing rodger please
ОтветитьNew-ish to your channel Roger. Love your work. Encouraged me to try some beach fishing and maybe try for some elusive worms
ОтветитьHey Roger can you come visit SA some time and show us croweaters how its done please?
ОтветитьHey Roger can you make a video using bcf or anaconda beach worms that they have in their freezers in the plastic containers. Comparing to your fresh beach worms and have a tally please keep up the good work👍
Ответитьhi roger what is the rod you are using ?
ОтветитьHi Roger, very nice catches. May I please ask if you are able to catch luderick when you seen them swimming around below wharfs and pylons? Or do they have to be out of sight to bite? Because at my local wharf I see massive ones in excess of 45cm swimming around below me. Thanks.
ОтветитьWhats your thoughts on the old wrasse? Do you eat them legend.
Ответитьto Rodger Osborne good liderick mate good fish hope Hes tummy inYour Tummy abdomen anc stomache and that He tasted absolutely amazingly beautiful Rodger
ОтветитьA few out there.
ОтветитьHi Roger, is this rod you’re using, the Shimano Maikuro 2 (10’6”)?
ОтветитьMay i ask, what is the merit of having the reel handle on the right side? You seem super unconfortable with the rod and constantly switching the holding hand. Love your videos though, learned a lot from you
ОтветитьDear oh dear, look up slider fishing in the UK
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответитьnice video and session Roger
ОтветитьCount to five and your catch will thrive
ОтветитьHi Roger. Great vid as always! You said you were using your squid rod. Is it an EGI rod? Could you please tell us the actual rod you use? Cheers.
ОтветитьInstead of a rubber stopper a piece of clear plastic tube over the top of float allows you to adjust the depth easily.
ОтветитьI like the incoming tide as I’ve found more fish enter the system from the sea ( bigger cleaner fish) I also use a much larger hook and larger lengths of twisted up cabbage 🥬
ОтветитьI can’t help but feel weird watching people chase luds without a centerpin
ОтветитьI spotted a world record flathead on that sand flat the other day
ОтветитьWhere do you get the sea cabbage, I’m a local and have trouble finding some😀
Ps: I love your videos, they are so helpful.
That's a ripper Roger. I'll come down there soon a nd Catch some .so see you at Xmas .Darren ..m
