Shujinko's Ending | Mortal Kombat: Deception

And instead of a large party waiting for his return to Earthrealm, Shujinko met a dark, stormy night and got his ass fried by the corrupted Dark Raiden.

This is the canon ending of MK: Deception (as stated by Netherrealms studios) and no, (Dark) Raiden does not kill Shujiknko either.

Shujinko dies in the battle of Armageddon, along all other Kombattants. In the end only Raiden and Shao Kahn remain and Kahn wins (as shown in MK 9 intro).

In the first scene, it seems that he was not only able to absorb the abilities of Kabal, Ashrah, Bo Rai Cho, Baraka, Sindel, Ermac, Jade, Mileena, Nightwolf, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero, but as well as Jax, Smoke, Noob Saibot, and even fucking Mokap.

This ending makes 3000% more sense than Cassie cage beating corrupt Shinnok.

If shujinko did this on Shao Kahn he would kill him even if Shao kahn had Blaze`s power

That moment when you realise shujinko could’ve absorbed the powers of everyone in the battle of Armageddon and killed them all.

So... the warriors that aid Shujinko are Scorpion, Ermac, Bo' Rai Cho, Sindel, Jade (makes sense these are trying to fight Onaga), Kabal, Kobra (these were on a mission to attack the heroes after they defeated Onaga so it would make sense they'd be there), Jax, Johnny Cage (heroes freed by Ermac, still checks out), Sub-Zero, Nightwolf (who should be on different missions but I guess they might have joined the fight), Baraka, Mileena (Who should be working for Onaga so I guess Shujinko converted them), Smoke (why is he not with Noob?), Ashrah (I guess she escaped the Netherrealm? So maybe this was supposed to recognize her ending where she kills Noob as canon and that's why Smoke is free?), and then freaking Stryker (he's on the far left, you can't see him in this cropped image) and Mokap!!!

Damn I miss Shujinko! I was surprised when he made a cameo in Cassie Cage's ending back in 2015 and was then more surprised when he is mentioned in MK11 in Liu Kang and Kung Lao dialogue!

this game is a perfect example of how you create and introduce a character into a franchise. provide said character with proper developpement, struggles and story and then have that build up until the final confrontation .

That power boost shujinko got was incredible raiden with quan chi and Shang Tsung couldn’t even scratch Onaga yet he defeated him effortlessly...

MK Deception was something special. I still remember getting home from school and running around the realms for hours in Konquest looking for hidden chests and secrets. The death traps were also awesome. Good times.

This is possibly my favorite ending in MKD, him channeling all of the knowledge of the fighters is dope

Shujinko vs. Shang Tsung would be perfect fight.

I would love to see him return in MKI.
But with slight alterations.
His power no longer stemming from Onaga, but still having a mixed fighting style.
Instead getting his ability to learn and copy from Fire God Liu Kang.
Who likely saw Shujinko's potential when gazing in the other timelines.

His style not being a bland copy from a character, but actually mixing various moves into seamless combo's
While his magic instead remains his own type (same color and effect for everything) but mimicking other special moves while also mixing them.
(for example, he won't just use shang Tsun's fireballs the way Shan Tsun would use them, and they will not look the same in color or effect, but match other effects from Shujinko's moves)
(Think using Scorpion's rope-dart, but instead of the famous GET OVER HERE, he instead starts swinging the rope dart around while the blade catches fire. Instead keeping opponents out of his zone.)

Lastly, adding to his background that he learned how to blacksmith, and builds large amounts of weapons, replica's he witnessed wielded by other combatants, but all with their unique look in his own style (think the swords from Shujinko in Deception/Armageddon, that style of look, for all his mimic weapons)

It will make Shujinko more his own character rather then a copy/paste mix-mash of other characters.

And then Dark Raiden fried him.

Is this a Dragon Ball reference and did Shujinko gave Onaga a Dragon Fist

It really bugs me that people hate him because he released Onaga and gave him the Kamidogus (the first one is false since it was Reptile) and yet when Hanzo/Scorpion freed Shinnok and doomed the fallen Earthrealm warriors to be revenant forever by killing Quan Chi and didn't even atone for his mistake unlike Shujinko he was forgiven?

I have a question.

If Onaga possessed the Kamidogus, didn't that imply that the soul of the One Being merged with him?

If that's true, then when Shujinko destroyed Kamidogus and defeated Onaga in his story mode in *Mortal Kombat: Deception*, wouldn't that have led to the destruction or endangerment of all the realms?

After all, the realms themselves were fragments of the One Being, and the One Being's shattered parts of his soul were all inside the Kamidogus, thanks to the Elder Gods.

I feel bad for him, he was inadvertently manipulated to put the realms in danger since he was young and impressionable. So many years he can never get back.
