IMHO One of the best versions of Free Bird I've heard. The entire concert was lights out and this encore was the capstone on the performance. I suspect the fans left believing they had seen one of the greatest, if not the greatest, concert bands of ALL TIME!

Ronnie had to call them cats down out of the tree at the end of free bird just to get them 2 rythm bars for the outro! They were out there. That's what rock n roll is all about!

Back 100yrs ago when I was a kid like 11-12 yrs old my dad took us camping one summer and the campground also had a concert field and they played like the third night we were there… It was my very first time seeing any live band.. Outdoors obviously, at night and probably 75ft away for most of the show.. I don’t know if my dad planned the camping trip around the concert or if we just happened to drive all the freaking way to the only campground that happened to be having a Lynard Skynrd concert that week hahaha.. Great memories for sure..

This is with out a doubt the best southern rock band ever Hell the best Rockin Roll band ever Can anyone think of another band that can say every song they ever made was a good song I can’t think of but one LS never gets old I have got every album,cassette tapes and even a few 8 track tapes of this band These boys could do it better than the rest They did a show some where I don’t remember where it was but they opened up for The Rolling Stones and they blew the stones off the stage I mean people were going crazy on how good this band really was It’s not easy to sound as good on live performances as they do on studio albums But again LS was the best band ever There manager said when Skynyrd walked in It was like the gladiators fixing to perform in Rome Ronnie never got the credit for being one of the best song writers of all time You can bet as long as there’s a way to listen to this music It will never dye If there’s not a way to play these songs They will still live in my heart because there’s not a LS song that I can’t sing from beginning to end That’s because I have wore out a bunch of radio’s and tape decks with this band RIP to the greatest band ever and especially to Ronnie
