I am wanting to see your chapter on how melatonin is induced in mitochondria by light, and how it helps glutathione deal with excess reactive oxygen species!

Since you’ve raised the issue of supplements to help cardiolipin, saying there are none, please comment on the peptide SS-31, which is reputed to do just that.

Hi Dr Been, thanks for your work and your clear explanations of the science of how all these biochemical processes work. You asked if we like the work you have done on the diagrams, and the answer is YES, they are extraordinary the way you use them communicate the synthesis of the idea is so very effective. I had to pause the video to say that before I forgot. :) Once again, thank you.

Wonderful explanation with excellent drawings, we have discussed this topic before, and this is not only a good refresher, but a much deeper insight into the mitochondrial functions. Please let us know when the book will be ready and how we can purchase it in the UK. 🙏 Thank you so much for all of your gifts❤

Your drawings, Drbeen, bring biology to life, as always. Look forward to your book. I believe Statins affect CoQ10 production, therefore ETC function. Could this explain , fatigue & inflammation (aches/pains) - especially for those on highest dose statins?

what do you think of low doses of methylene blue to help mitochondrial function? what are your views on low dose naltrexone? thanks for this video. the visualization your drawings provide helps with explanation and also memory. my 12 year old granddaughter thinks she might like to be a dr or vet. i will see if i can get her interested in watching your videos

From the research that shows how the levels of deuterium affect the ATP production why would you not consider eating low deuterium foods? From the studies that started almost 50 years ago it is clear that eating low/no carbs is a very good way to extend our health span as well as lifespan. Ruminant animal fat and meat provide the lowest levels of deuterium available and affordable sources of energy to humans. Seafoods have low levels of deuterium as well.We evolved eating meat and fat and the reasons to not eat plants is abundantly clear with world wide populations of sickness and obesity increasing at a very high rate. The mitochondria ATP motors are slowed by high levels of deuterium which results in lowered energy from eating carbs is a monumental finding. Depleted deuterium water is available but doesn't help the majority of people who can't afford the high cost and wasn't available to our ancestors and they developed the largest brains and filled every continent with the exception of Antarctica before recorded history. They sailed or walked to these continents by eating primarily animals because plants don't provide the energy required for long and arduous journeys as well as reproduction of those humans.

I’ve been low energy or fatigued almost my whole life. The B vitamins are critical to my functioning. I’ve tried CoQ10, but it causes more fatigue—I wonder why that is. I can take ubiquinol, though—is it of any benefit?

Your diagrams are so special. You have a real talent. It really helps explain what you are saying.. My question is, can I take too much Coq 10 or other suppliments that could damage my ect. chain or anything else? . I have had chronic fatigue syndrome for 30 years and take many suppliments. I started low but have boosted my intake of these suppliments thru time. Can I ever take too much.
