I think your father-in-law is having a hard time giving up his life's work. After all, he made fantastic tuk-tuks for years—it's practically part of Thailand's cultural heritage, because who can imagine this country without tuk-tuks? Not me! 😅👍❤️
ОтветитьDoes your 13 million total include your vehicle purchase, your costs to visit home and visit Europe, Vietnam etc?
ОтветитьThanks for doing what your doing Chuck!! 19 day and counting Thailand bound!!
ОтветитьWe just finished building a modern two story 5 bedroom 3 bath house in the Loei mountains for 2.1 million. I have a 12 minute time lapse of it condensed down from 1.3 years of building. 4x4 meter back balcony off the master and a 2x4 front balcony off the master. Another 11k for 258 meters of 7 foot tall block and concrete fence.
ОтветитьGoing to try for my yellow book and ID, and a driving license next trip. The Pu Yai Bahn happens to be a young guy, and is a friend of mine.. (never hurts to have friends)
ОтветитьVery good Chuck👌🖖
ОтветитьReally A Great Job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьWas in Thailand in Feb 65 and again for R&R from VN in June 65 , we rented Motorcycles both time and had a great time , been watching your channel for a few yrs , nice vlog Chuck....Watching
ОтветитьThanks for this video Chuck.
I was contemplating buying an apartment in Hua Hin for my mrs. She's a farang and love the area. Where as i rather live in Sisaket, I've got 20 rai there.
Perhaps we should just rent in Hua Hin for a while it makes more sense.
We still stuck in Australia for now, but i don't think i can stay here too much longer, missed Thailand too much
Pity i didn't get to see you guys in Koh Chang. But i got a photo of your Fortuner parking at white sand beach.😂
Good Morning Chuck, I am in Thailand
ОтветитьMike question I use the red 3 and 1 coffee. I seen you using the purple one . Is that a tea or different coffee. I like trying different coffees. Thank you for answer. Greatly appreciate the videos
ОтветитьThere's givers .. takers and biggest majority are users unfortunately. Gotta agree with your philosophy. Rent-a-pet best idea ever for those in need of it. Don't like restrictions and constraints. Bushyboy Oz
ОтветитьAnyone who hasn’t traveled outside thier own country would have no idea how great other countries are the good and the bad
ОтветитьSabai Sabai my friend😎
ОтветитьAloha guys. One of the reasons I’ve watched your channel for years is because your philosophy and ethics seem very close to mine. I enjoy your sense of humor and I’ve learned a lot about Thailand watching you folks. I don’t watch many blogs but enjoy yours very much. Keep playing golf and fishing.
Take care of my cat.
That was a very interesting talk, thx.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your life with all
ОтветитьDefinitely agree with a lot of your views on Thailand. I’ve only been here 2 1/2 years but am always amazed that everyday there seems to be something new or different.
ОтветитьI have been in Japan since 1980 (actually s
Also between 1972-1976). I still learn somethings every day. It is one of the beauties of living internationally.
with the land, wall, house, pool, furniture etc. we are right at around 5 million.
On our last short trip to UT we both just wanted to come home. We have everything here that we could possibly want.
Yes, we'd like to travel more but, I know that I'd be stressed about the cost even if we hadn't built the house.
Plus, "if" I hadn't built this I'd be down at least 1.5 million baht on my investments over the past few weeks. So, really our house only "cost" 3.5 million.compared to paying for it this week vs last year.
Everything in life is temporary health, family, homes, friendships even thoughts. The older I get the less friends I need. Life is simple make good choices be like a river and go with the flow. You are giving good thoughts avoiding clicks etc. I think you have worked out your life and family very well.
ОтветитьChuck, I am confuded...when you talked about your friend Brian rent 14 nights for $14k on his rental, did you mean that he only rent for that many nights every year and was able to reserve that place again and again? Or I am missing something? Thank you
ОтветитьEnjoyed video talking about costs of living in Thailand, I can relate like you living with in-laws I’m so at peace here and I feel some people can’t understand or comprehend how beautiful it is here, to pursue your dreams and not be complacent or afraid to try something new and exciting, also to leave behind all the things that try to bring you down. Anyway, just some thoughts of mine and knowing that you and Paige share your love and experience of this beautiful country and all it has to offer, living my dreams every day and excited for whatever tomorrow brings, respectively your friend from California William.
ОтветитьMate, as always, great video and, wise words. Same same outlook on life....Keep doing you Chuck 🙂
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьYou guys are awesome! Keep living your best life and “Do You!”
ОтветитьCool
ОтветитьHi I 💯agree with you regarding the rent vs buying. We plan on moving to Thailand next year if all goes well. We decided it’s better and cheaper to rent based on the years we would be paying if we purchased. We’re already retired just sold the RV. However, we will be renting our home. Because, of what is going on in the U.S. We don’t want to wind up homeless if Thailand and other countries decide to kick us out🤷🏾♀️
ОтветитьChuck some people aren't happy when others are happy. They are usually unhappy and want to drag you down whether they realize it or not. Please, don't make your videos to good because I would hate for Thailand to become like Texas where so many people want to relocate the existing culture evaporates.
ОтветитьG’day Chuck ….. dumb Aussie question time again …. Who owns the receding island on the river ???? Is it still Thailand or is it Laos ??
ОтветитьHi Chuck Strange one for you I live just up the road from you and on Thursday I and everybody else had to do a drugs test My wife said yep it's sort of a country wide thing Did all That phanom have to do the same (I passed)
ОтветитьHey mate. Life is too short. Enjoying it while you can. How would you know if you live to see your pension? Forget the other opinions. What you're doing is the best. I can't wait to do the same in Sakhon Nakon.
ОтветитьGood Morning Chuck and Paige. Gotta be crazy to spend millions there. Best to enjoy the love of the family and close friends, and of course TRAVEL !!! CowGum and Tubby Cat are PURR-FECT life companions
ОтветитьI agree renting if you have no dependants is the way to go . My wife and I have rented the same house for over 3 years just a small 2 bedroom townhouse on a street where I'm the only farang we pay 3700 bht a month , I did ask my wife how much would it be to buy and she told me around 1.4 - 1.6 million bht . If we payed the top end it would take 430 months before we got our money back . The best thing about renting at such a low price is you don't mind travelling sometimes months on end knowing you have a base to return too .
ОтветитьI know it might be ... a challenge but any chance of doing a video on a 'A day in the life of your father in-law'? I'm fascinated about how reserved he is, and like to found out more about him...
ОтветитьGreat video Chuck yes to much negativity with people these days that's why I hang around with my wife we're always happy and positive like you and Paige
ОтветитьTip for the young bucks. When you marry a Thai, you will likely travel to Thailand to meet her family. I married a girl from Shenyang China, we recently traveled back for a funeral in March. 17 degrees and a few hours outside. Food for thought!
Shenyang's latitude is close to Cleveland, where I'm from, and I moved away from that 20 something years ago. I told my wife I'm never going back. Last time I went to that cemetery many years ago, it was 16 degrees.
I would like to see the haunted house.
ОтветитьHope u get ur yellowbook love seeing u guys walk around showing the sites many blessings from North Texas ❤
ОтветитьOdds of your Mom living to 93y/0 are Great specially since her mom lived to be 97❤
ОтветитьHi,Chuck and,Paige.

Sawadee Kap,kop kun Kap.😊🙏🙏
Good morning mate Barry here I am in Australia at the moment working. I will be coming home to Namphong next January. We have met at udon twice by accident with you and Jim. ( pizza 🍕 shop). Bye for now mate from Barry and Na
ОтветитьAbout farangs that are negative in Thailand a wise man said: a genius creates their own happiness, an intelligent person finds joy in what they do and a miserable person complains...
Ответить❤
ОтветитьHow much is 24 million baht in US dollars?
ОтветитьDon't you love when you mention a Thai person by name to your wife and she has no idea who or what you are talking about even though it sounded right to you? 555
ОтветитьHi Chuck, Just continue with your current lifestyle as long as it makes you happy. You are sharing your life and travel experiences with anyone who cares to watch and listen to your advice, as gentle as it may be. Aussie Ian
