My moms Samsung S23 puts my iPhone 12 max to shit!
Sitting in the stands at my sons football game, her Samsung S23; zooms In like crazy and looks like a professional video footage.
My only zooms to shit and is all grainy you can’t tell who is who.
I couldn’t believe what a difference in hardware there was between our two phones!!! And mine costs just as much as hers did.
Ticked me off. Apple is doing this bc they know they have a cult like following that will accept that bare minimum. Im changing to Samsung now so that I can utilize their videography.

Please can I buy this for filming videos???

I had the 12pro max scene it came out, recently I upgraded to the 15pro max. The 12pro max I feel like it’s still a great phone in 2024.

I did actually see a slight low-light difference in the Pro Max vs mini. The mini required extra processing in the dark areas and therefore they ended up looking a bit grayish-brown, next to the deep black of the Pro Max.

Funnily enough, that intro is actually accurate. iPhone 12 Pro Max is the only bigger model that scaled up everything equally so perfectly that if you save an image of both Pro and Pro Max and you scale them to the same size, everything lines up perfectly.

This isn't the case for other different sized iPhones. Usually the corner radii or cameras are the same physical size on both models, resulting in it being proportionally less big on the bigger footprint of the bigger models. (i.e. if you scale both down to the same size in Photoshop, the cameras or corner radii would be "smaller" on the bigger one. 12 Pro Max is unique in this regard.)

Still rocking this. Not worth upgrading yet.

I'm still using my 2020 12 Pro Max as of November 2024. Still strong, great screen, great camera, lovely design, and still quick. The only problem is the battery. Battery life for nearly the entire day.

Did a battery swap last week with my 12 Pro Max 512 GB…it still is in mint condition with only some micro scratches around the lightning port. A perfect backup phone now 😊
