When Everything Goes Wrong on a Korean Island Adventure Overnight Trip from Seoul to Jebu-do
Hello everyone! In this video we take a trip from Seoul (서울) to a little island on Korea’s West Sea (서해) called Jebu-do (제부도). Originally, our plan was to take the bus #1002 from Sadang Station (사당역), and transfer to bus H50 to get to the island, but we found out that the land bridge that connects the island is affected by the tide, and it was way too cold to do any logical thinking. We ended up taking shelter in a cafe nearby the island entrance, and after the low tide, we were finally able to enter Jebu-do, where our crazy trip was just getting started.

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry to hear that you both got horrible food poisoning. I'm guessing it's from the raw oysters at that first restaurant you went to called 해성. I lived on the island 완도 for a year and got miserable food poisoning from raw oysters twice. Ever since then my stomach and body haven't been then same. Be careful and I recommend taking 구충제 to kill any parasites in your stomach and gut. You probably already know about this pill, but most Koreans take it once a year due to all the raw seafood they eat. Hope you both are feeling better and staying warm this winter.

Those cats are crazy lol. Korea is the only country where I've had to break up cat fights as well. They don't play around.

Thanks for sharing your latest adventure even if it didn't go according to plan. So sorry to hear about your bout with food poisoning. Hopefully it doesn't put you off of Jogae Gui in the future. Always love eating it when I have the chance (and recommend Muuido for it - it's not far from Incheon Airport but seems like it is a world away).

My partner and I have been enjoying your content, it has been very helpful for our planning. We are travelling to South Korea in October for about a month, after travelling to Japan in September.

- Eat lots of food

Raw oyster is the most probable culprit it has vibrio bacteria. But it’s good you are okay 👍
