As a kid, I thought this was an Indiana Jones knock-off, even though it is Indiana Jones who is a knock-off of the classic pulp characters such as Allan Quartermain.

This is such a fun, campy classic adventure. The perfect movie to while away a dull Saturday with.

The soundtrack for this film is criminally underrated!

What a fun movie for a 9 yr old in '85 to see. Ranks up there with 'Flash Gordon'.

Also, I used to see this movie get played on basic on weekends a lot and would always rope me into the appeal of Indiana Jones but all I could think was how much this was the bag of generic on the opposite side of the cereal aisle when all you want is the name brand Indiana Jones. I did not want any of it but the real thing. But seeing this trailer makes me think I might should give it a try. After all, it’s got Sallah in it.

Film critics miss the point completely. If a movie is entertaining then it’s done its job. No one should listen to film critics’ opinions because they themselves never attempt to make a movie, let alone a good movie.
