Op I’m early… and a future teacher I got 3 years left till done with undergrad and masters… and this title scares me

My 7 year old nephew thinks that because the number is 20 or 30 then it's not cold. I need to read him the degrees in Celsius

Teacher or not, I think most of us have probably thought about what we would do differently in our jobs if we were in charge 😂 and cool new set!

about that standardized testing: "if you judge a fish by it's abbillity to climb a tree, the fish will always be a failure" (sorry for any type-o's, I am Dutch, and English is my second language...)

I feel the winter outside duties comment. I am in central NH. I have morning car duty standing outside for 20 minutes each morning and then afternoon car duty where we are outside for 25 minutes. It is nice when the weather is beautiful but this time of year, it is rough.

The thing with my school, we have an epass. And students have only three passes everyday and when they use a pass it will only allow them a pass in a hour, down to the second

I am planning on taking 3 aps sophomore year in high school and get a year ahead in math and science.I want to become an engineer

Dress code - we have codes for both genders - eg no undergarments showing above pants ; no attire with racism. violence , alcohol or drug slogans; just the basics for life realistically

I agree, kids need more recess. They play more, they focus better in the classroom and act out less.

u think thats bad a had a school psychologist at my school who said in quote in evaluating for my adaptive skills " she has really pretty hair that lays long on the back of her spine." when all u have to do in evaulating adaptive skills is - can she bath her self, is she using deordrant, can she groom her hair - does she come in looking like she hasnt bathed or changed her shirt in like days - not what he wrote - and i called him out on it too

Addressing the 4 day work week: when we came back from covid and were 1/2 in class 1/2 online, the students left early on Fridays and we recorded lessons and planned. It worked out really well.

Also, I retired last year and then returned part time this year working Monday through Thursday . It really does work great because I have a day to plan and prepare.

We get PTO and Sick Leave at my online school. I have 60 hours of PTO and 40 hours of Sick Leave.

As a parent, I tried to take a mock standardized test and was like what is this? I couldn't even answer the questions. I can’t imagine what the kids go through.

My kid goes to an independent private school with immersion based learning and they don't have standardized testings except past and sat

This new set isn’t it. Mr Williams needs a taller mic stand stat. He looks so uncomfortable in this episode. Somebody needs to check his back and give him a heating pad.
