very cool. did i see that correctly real 55mph are 100kmh on the speedo?
ОтветитьMega! Been waiting for this vid
ОтветитьThicker base gasket reduces compression ratio. Probably the easiest way to detune this beastly XR.
ОтветитьYou know we’re so back when you see an OKO carb on a small ass bike
ОтветитьHow did a bigger carb help performance? Isn't carb tuning all about proper air/fuel mix under load? If you need more fuel you need more fuel, but wouldn't a jet swap do the same? The increase in displacement wasn't that big.
ОтветитьGreat job as usual Gabe. Nice real-world comparison.
Time to strip it and race it now!
How to make a beginner bike fast... Gabe's specialty!
ОтветитьDoes it have an oil cooler to help with detonation?
Ответитьjust put some 2 stroke premix in there at 125:1 and it won't knock or 100:1 for better over all running
ОтветитьDang, thats downright insane!!
Ответитьid do stronger valve springs and detune just so its ready for when you want to open it up maybe for a race weekend
ОтветитьGet stiffer valve springs. Might need to upgrade clutch springs with the extra power.
ОтветитьWhat the the names and brands of the parts you use and espects
ОтветитьHow is it compared to your DR200 build?
ОтветитьDo this to a TW200 please!! I really need to see that bike with a good setup!
ОтветитьAwesome comparison test! The results are crazy...
ОтветитьPlace links to the kit products please.
ОтветитьIsn't it fun to work on the super low performance play bikes, it's so easy to get huge gains out of them compared to a race bike
ОтветитьIf you could send me your speedometer and tachometer readings for every run and give the bikes weight with you on it along with a head on photo of you replicating your body position on the bike, I reckon I could get an ok estimate of the bikes power at the wheels, if you can get me your gear ratios and tyre size I could see if I can get a rough power versus rpm chart and torque versus rpm chart for you, in principle it all should be correct but ofcourse the real world is way more complicated so I cant promise much
ОтветитьI have seen these engines be opened to 310ccs. They're the same engine that came on the Brazilian CG150s. It's freaking huge around here, #1 top selling bike for 10y if I recall correctly.
ОтветитьSome upgraded valve springs will help with the float
ОтветитьI wonder with gearing if it would do 80
ОтветитьTo install a bore kit what is the difficulty?
ОтветитьI would really love to see you get your xr250r back out. I have a electric start bottom end for the 250r I know you’d be interested in 😉
ОтветитьMake more content please 😁
ОтветитьHi man, your content is awesome!! Can you do a video on how you took the decition to change your life and to go all for it. Also how your time has been during your Projekt. That would be really interesting!!
ОтветитьA great video my dude❤, just a suggestion if u can find aftermarket racing cdi, racing ignition coil, port and polish the head for better performance, i guarantee it'll give u more power than having bore up, here in asia we call it pcc (port, carb, cdi) it can keep up with the bore ups (sometimes much better)u just need fine tuning on the carb have it on slight rich tune for high revs without limiter comes with a cost on the engine😅, it'll save u more aswell on the modifications❤, pcc and stiffer valve/clutch springs, also replace the clutch lining. Lemme know if this helps😁
ОтветитьHi Gabe, what the hell happened to your hair!?
And WTF happens in US with the XR 150 L?
There are so many videos about it, I (as French European) can't understand why it's such a fancy bike out of Indonesia or Vietnam! 😉✌️
Dude you are a legend. Making me wish like heck I'd just kept my XR150L
ОтветитьI have a possibility dumb, very expensive but interesting idea. I was reading through the old crf230f mods website and I was kinda surprised that the pwk carb was straight off of a cr85. Then I had a horribl(y good) idea. I looked up if smart carb makes a model for the cr85. They have a direct bolt on. Since you converted your crf230f to use a cr85 carb already, who's to say that the smart carb wouldn't work either? It would probably also solve the jetting issues described in the article.
ОтветитьDo you need to grind down the back of the piston?
ОтветитьLove this type of video
ОтветитьGive a more detail instructional about your build; cost time to work on and etc.
ОтветитьAnd now it’s time to run in in a 24 hour race 😂
ОтветитьCan you please a step by step guide on how to install the kit? there's only one video on this by someone and they cut through the steps they don't show exactly what to do. Please I'm in a rural town and I don't trust the mechanics here but I don't know much about this stuff
ОтветитьHave you noticed it starting to run lean when you go down in elevation and vice versa with the OKO D-Slide?
ОтветитьHere in LATAM we have the 190cc kit from brazil. You can run pump gas with those.
ОтветитьTry the Sym Nht 125, 200 or 300 plz🥺🙏🏼
ОтветитьGet the Klx 230 🤟🤟 faster than this stock better suspension EFI 6 gears😝🇨🇦
ОтветитьDo you have a cam and big bore kit install video I’m nervous doing the cam as it’s my first time doing one and was hoping to do it without needing to adjust my valves. The BBK is pretty straight forward on install but a visual would help.
ОтветитьAnd a suspension update! I ride train tracks and deal with woops that bottom out the suspension into my exhaust
ОтветитьInsane gains! Definitely drop the compression though for longevity’s sake!
Hope you are doing alright and hope to see more content from you soon. I am currently rewatching the Alone in Death Valley adventure vids you made a while back.
I like the bike but underwhelming power even with the big bore. No BS, I built a minibike, 6 inch wheels and no gears, just a centrifugal clutch that went 72 mph in the quarter mile( confirmed at sonoma drag strip ) I have it on video. still spent less than half the purchase price of this bike.
ОтветитьHow much did you spend? And in your Opinion would it be more cost effective to just get a Larger CC bike? P.S. Just watched your "Alone in Death Valley Adventure" Videos! Wow! Thanks for the Awesome Video's!
ОтветитьIn the second mode, without changing the carburetor and using the original carburetor, did you have to do anything to the original carburetor to make it deliver more fuel?
ОтветитьAnd what configuration did you use on the 26 Oko carburetor, I'm talking about main and pilot, what diameters did you use? I appreciate this information to try to copy your process, thanks.
ОтветитьPlease tell me where you bought this carb? I want to put a better carb on my suzuki dr100 and or my Honda XL 185
Ответить222cc big bore
s23 camshaft
Nibbi carb 28mm
38 pilot jet
45 tooth sprocket
Racing CDI Box
11" aftermarket rear suspension
120/60/17 rear tire (street)
120/60/19 front tire (street)
Top speed [ 82mph ]
Hoping to make a video showing this thing really tearing it up off-road when I get a chance. As for the in-depth discussions of each component or the build as a whole.... That type of stuff just doesn't get views, so I'm figuring out what to do there to make it worth the time expenditure.
